There has recently been (and I suspect there always will be) quite a bit of discussion on WAGNH around three big topics. The first is what exactly Chelsea should be doing in any particular...
Liverpool Football Club can confirm that Andy Carroll has joined West Ham United on a season-long loan.
Great article from Jonathan Wilson discussing Man City's 3-4-3 from the Community Shield and last weekend.
I will be interested to watch him on Friday. I don't think there's a real chance he ends up with us during this window, but maybe sometime in the future.
Was anyone else surprised to see AVB roll out the 4-2-3-1? This has some discussion on it. Will be interesting to watch Spurs...
Interesting given how many Chelsea players are Belgian
No Chelsea players, but an interesting read nonetheless...
Well worth a quick read. He is going to be a fantastic signing!
Thoughts? Mine are the same as Lampard. He has been an amazing player for us, but with FFP a new contract doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Some interesting summaries of players going into the tournament. Interesting in that a number are rumoured to be transfer targets.
I saw this description of the 3-4-3 and I can't help thinking that our personnel would fit this formation quite well. Luiz, Terry, Cahill and Bran rotate among the back 3. Cole and Ramires as the wingers (with Ramires covering tons of ground). Mikel / Romeu as the deep midfielder (Lampard could play here as well). Lampard (or a new signing) as the advanced midfielder. Mata could play centrally here as well. Mata, Torres, Sturridge as the front 3. Any new signings would fit well here also. Pros - We have awesome CBs but no RB. Allows Cole / Ramires forward. Let's the front line play without thinking too much of defense. Cons - Do we have enough creativity for this to work upfront? New signings fit? Is this a good role for Mata? Anyone else have any thoughts?
