Give us some damn credit
First off, what a win for my Broncos. After the game I listen to analysts and instead of saying the Broncos earned that win, they say well the Steelers had injuries. Let's not forget we had injuries of our own, our all pro defensive safety Brian Dawkins, starting right guard Kris Kuper, leading wide receiver Eric Decker, all of whom were huge contributors to the success of this team. No team in the playoffs is 100% healthy, so let's not use that as an excuse. We travel to New England next week and will be huge under dogs, I know we got beat by the Pats already. I like what I saw in that first game, if we don't turn the ball over so many times we have a great shot. We need to capitalize on every drive and put up some points. I for one can not wait for the Broncos, to prove more people wrong. GO BRONCOS!!!!!
NO QB Controversy
I think after the game yesterday there is no doubt, that Tebow will be the starter. In my opinion we should end this whole QB controversy and trade Orton now. I am sure the Dolphins would still be interested, and I say trade him for whatever we can get for him. We need to move forward, and with Orton on the roster, there always be controversy. What you guys think, am I way off target?

COME ON MAN!!!!!!
Another year and the same old defense! I know it was only 1 game but we have serious problems. This team couldn't beat a college football team, the raiders ran toss plays and were succesful all night. Those plays are not suppose to work in professional football. The defensive line is terrible and couldn't get any pressure, without having to blitz. The linebackers missed one tackle after another, they could not disengage from the blockers. The highlights on defense were far and few, I thought Dawkins played well. Elvis and Von were pretty much non factors. I could be wrong but I think the only sack was when Jason Campbell was trying to run out the clock. Plain and simple if you are not disciplined and can't tackle we will not win. Now the offense, so much for running the ball, I am not even sure what to say about that. The raiders front four pushed our offensive line around all night, they did not need to blitz. Orton was Orton, he is not affective in the redzone. If we get inside the 20 yard line we may as well kick a field goal on first down, with Orton in there. I did not want to start this talk already this season, but when we are in the redzone, Tebow needs to be in there. I would rather watch three qb runs with Tebow, then the SH*T show we saw last night. I thought Decker and Lloyd had some great plays last night. I know it was only the first game, but COME ON MAN!!!!!
Brodrick Bunkley
It has been reported that Brodrick Bunkley has been traded to Denver for a 2013 draft pick, Solid DT, former 14th overall pick. Adds experience to the defensive line. This is a good move, I still think we need one more DT. I have not heard anything about this rumor of trading Kyle Orton for Asante Samuel, I think it is a bogus rumor. I think Tebow is going to have to do it the old fashion way and beat out Orton for the starting job, and by the way practices are going it is not looking good.
We Just agreed to terms With???
Sorry to get your hopes up, no defensive tackle was signed. But we did agree to terms with Donte Rosario, the TE from Carolina. It is still unclear if he is willing to play defensive tackle, only time will tell. We have about five tight ends on the roster, I guess he is the cheaper replacement for Daniel Graham. Lets hope we see a DT signed before the season starts, otherwise we are going to be dead last against the run. Go Broncos !!!!!!!
Another Free Agent lost
Looks like the Ravens, have agreed to a contract with Vonta Leach. I really hope our front office gets things going, we need some serious help on the DL, I also believe we need a MLB, I do not think Mays can get it done. He will be a liabilty in the passing game, and I do not think that our rookie Irving is ready. Also I would like to applaud Brian Dawkins, for restructuring his contract to help the team out.
FREE AGENCY AND THE DRAFT
I think there are two names out there in free agency we have to go after at the end the season. First and he should be our number one priority is David Harris LB (Jets) he is young a sure tackler, great in coverage and could be an anchor for us for the next ten years. Secondly, Lamarr Woodley, PIT he is a nasty linebacker with all the intangibles. Those two together with Dumervil, and DJ would be solid. There are some good secondary help gonna be available, via free agency, we need to get younger in the secondary. Mabey such players as Bernard Pollard, Antoine Bethea, Eric Weddle, Atari Bigby. (Safeties) At corner players like Eric Wright, Carlos Rogers, and Tramon Williams. I do think it is time for the secondary to be overhauled all our starters must go, yes even Champ. He is going to want to much money, and he is at the back end of his career. We need another starter at CB, and I think Perrish Cox will be ok. Our safties we have now are going to have to step up next year Bruton will be solid, not sold on Mcbath. We get those two line backers, and a couple of those names at CB and safety we will be better. Now we hit the drat for DL we need to spend the majority of our picks on DL. Nick Fairley would be the safe pick in the top 5, I think at 300 pounds he is big enough to play DT and quick enough to play end in the 3-4. I also like Christian Ballard from Iowa, but not til the later rounds. What do you guys think am I way off.
Defensive Coordinator
I think we need a new defensive coordinator at the end of the season. We all know that Jerry Jones will fire Wade Philips at the end of the season. I think he would be the perfect defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. He runs a 3-4 system and knows it well. He also would be a great help to Mcdaniels, anyone else agree or disagree. Or is there any other coordinator that would be better.
The Draft Baby!!!!
Where do I start, I like every pick in the draft we have made. I know what you are all saying even Tebow, yes even Tebow. I think he is one of the most dynamic, and versatile players in the draft. I see him on the field day one, he will not be the starting QB, but he will be in there on short yardage plays and inside the ten yard line, he will be a nightmare for defenses to defend, I even see him sliding out to the tight end position in some way shape or form. I know everyone thinks we reached for him, but I disagree. We traded back twice and we used those picks to move back up in the draft. So ended up with two number ones, and still had a 2nd, 2-3rds, 4th, and 5th. I think he proves everyone wrong. I love the D. Thomas pick he is a big physical WR, who can block, and has better speed than Brandon Marshall. I know he is not Marshall yet, but you have to love his potential. Eric Decker has great hands runs great routes and catches everything thrown his way, I thought he was the 3rd best reciever in the draft, we stole him. We addressed needs with other picks, Zane Beadles, is a good offensive guard who can play other positions on the offensive line. J.D. Walton was the second best center in the draft, I am gad we got him. I am not sure where we go with our last two picks, I know we need ILB help and secondary help. I am not sure we get either of those with our remaining picks. I like Cam Thomas, but I think he will be gone before we pick. The RB out of Oregon (Blount) would be a nice bruising RB. Let me know what everyone thinks about this draft and if anyone agrees with me. I give this draft a B+.

I am just saying........
I know we will hear these comparisons all year so, I will be the first to say it.
Week 1 Cutler 1TD-4picks/Loss
Week 1 Orton 1TD-0picks/Win
I will take the win no matter how lucky it was. The defense of Denver played fantastic today, I am impressed with what I saw. The offense needs some work, the first drive we came out and ran the ball well with Buckhalter and then we went away from that, I am not sure why? But denver got it done and that is all that counts.
Fantasy Football HELP!
Well I joined a Fantasy Football league that was 200$ a team and there is 12 teams, I wanted some opinions on how I did.
QB-Tom Brady/Donovan Mcnabb
RB-Deangelo Williams/Thomas Jones/Marshawn Lynch
WR&TE-Chad Ochocinco/Eddie Royal/Dallas Clark/Donald Driver
Wild Card Pick- Darren Sproles
I would appreciate some input, I think I did well, but it is my team. Thanks a lot.
Fantasy Football
My roster is as follows, for my money league. I wanted opinions also on my team.
QB: Kurt Warner, Kyle Orton
RB: DeAngelo Williams, Matt Forte, Marshawn Lynch, Chris Wells
WR: Braylon Edwards, Chad Ochocinco, DeShawn Jackson, Nate Wasshington
TE: John Carlson, Jeremy Shockey
K: Nate Kaeding
D: San Diego
I think I did pretty good with my running backs, I am not sure with my WR's but I think I am alright. I would love to hear some opinions.
Trade and Marshall
I see all these reports on ESPN of Marshall possibly going to the Jets. What would the jets offer as compensation for Brandon Marshall. Another thing do you think Marshall could handle being in New York, without getting in trouble. I am a die hard Broncos fan and my opinion is we should Pay The Man. This has been a terrible off season for the Broncos as we all know. My thought is a team should try and get better during the off season and so far we have traded away a top 5 quarterback in the NFL, and now looks like we may be trading a top 5 WR. Somebody needs to explain to me how we are getting better by trading our best players. If Marshall is healthy we need to pay him, he has out played his rookie contract and deserves the money. By the looks of the first pre season game, Kyle Orton is going to need Brandon Marshall. We lose big time if we lose Brandon Marshall. I am curious what everyone else thinks.
Updated and more complete Mock Draft!!!
Tell me what ya think!
My updated Mock draft
1st pick Round 1-12overall: Rey Maualuga (USC) MLB: Rey Maualuga is a terror at the middle linebacker spot. He reminds me of another MLB named Ray (although obviously spelled differently), as in Ray Lewis. Although Lewis was much more of a vocal leader and all around a better athlete, Maualuga has that rare ability to dissect plays within seconds and deliver jarring hits. He will bring the nastiness we have been lacking to this defense, and fill a major need.
2nd pick Round 1-18overall: Tyson Jackson (LSU) DE: Outstanding size and bulk...Has a big frame with long arms and large hands...Powerful with excellent strength...Tough and physical...Good athleticism...Quick with a burst...Uses his hands well...Can really hold his ground...Terrific bull rusher...Offers a lot of versatility...Has a lot of experience against elite competition... Hard worker ... Team leader. He will bring the rush from the outside we have been lacking.
3rd pick Round 2-48 overall: Ron Brace (Boston College) DT: Excellent size and bulk...Very quick off the snap...Great strength...Is stout at the point of attack...Does a terrific job against the run...Gets a good push up the middle...Will collapse the pocket...A powerful tackler...Shows the ability to shoot gaps and penetrate at times...Nice instincts / awareness...Lots of experience...Improving and has upside. I think it was hard to judge Ron Brace he was a starter next to BJ Raji, and I think he is close to Raji.
4th pick Round 3-79 overall : Virginia Tech CB Victor (macho) Harris: Virginia Tech had a loaded defense in 2006 and 2007, but that did not stop Victor 'Macho' Harris from becoming a starter at the corner position. In his junior campaign Harris tallied five interceptions and broke up 11 passes. For his efforts, he was named to the All-ACC first-team. The 2008 season has started well for Harris and he is even getting involved in the offense from time to time and the Hokies use his speed and athleticism to open up the opposing defense. He is a stud, he is around the ball all the time, he can come in and learn under Champ.
5th pick Round 3-84 overall: Cal Poly WR Ramses Barden: Great height and outstanding bulk...Excellent athleticism...Real strong and physical...Good leaper with terrific ball skills...Runs with some power...Has a nose for the endzone...Decent blocker...Intelligent with solid intangibles..Extremely productive and was dominant at his level. Not to mention he found the endzone 50 times in college.
6th pick Round 4-114 overall: Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell: Extraordinarily productive...Very intelligent with a high football IQ...Has a quick delivery...Displays nice poise in the pocket...Can throw on the run...Makes good decisions for the most part...Real tough...Has a knack for coming through in the clutch...Truly loves the game and is the football equivalent of a gym rat...Durable...Has a lot of experience...Hard worker...Team leader...Had a terrific senior season. Not to mention he was the one making Crabtree look so good.
7th pick Round 5-149 overall: LSU S Curtis Taylor: Very good height and bulk with long arms...Excellent athleticism...A great leaper...Adequate speed with a burst to close...Nice instincts and awareness...Good range...Outstanding in pursuit...Recovers well...Is capable of delivering a big hit...Great special teamer...Still has upside.
8th pick Round 6-185 overall: Wisconsin RB P.J. Hill: Excellent size and bulk...Tough, strong and powerful...Nice balance and does not go down easy...Good vision and instincts...Hits the hole hard and runs downhill...Has nimble feet...Keeps his legs moving...Has proven he can be a workhorse...Above average blocker...Productive.
9th pick Round 7-225 overall: Temple DT Terrance Knighton: Great size and bulk...Has long arms and big hands...Above average athleticism...Quick with decent speed...Nice balance and agility...Is mobile with great range...Does a nice job in pursuit...Has a good motor...Offers some positional and schematic versatility...Has upside.
10th pick Round 7-235 overall: Virginia Tech C Ryan Shuma: Somebody has to be the last pick.

Deals
I know everyone is frantic over the Cutler trade rumors. This is what I think. I feel Josh McDaniels had no intention of trading Cutler. When a teams come at you with a trade, you should listen, that is good business. He did listen and said no thank you. Move on it is a dead issue. I want to see if anyone has heard anything about Andre Goodman, and Derrick Ward. I know they are in Denver for visits today and I have not heard anything.
NICE
I really like what we are doing in free agency, no huge names or contracts. Brian Dawkins is a great addition to this defense, he brings leadership, attitude, and nastiness to this defense. He may be older but anyone that saw him play last year knows he has plenty left in the tank. So watch out AFC West recievers there a new safety looking to lay the smack down over the middle. My only gripe about free agency is that we have not addressed the DE's, but it is still early and I have not heard anything on Olshanski or Canty. I am still hoping for another cornerback as well mabey we will not let Andre Goodman out of Denver without a contract, also available is Bryant Mcfadden, Philip Bucchanan, and Shaun Springs. Of all those guys I am hoping for Goodman or Mcfadden. Andra Davis is an animal and will fit nice right next to DJ Williams. Very solid what we have done so far, hopefully we keep that rolling.
Whats the deal
Looks like its a free for all in free agency. I can't believe all the big signings that have happened today. The Redskins give Albert 100 million and D. Hall like 56million, this is bad for football. They are way over paying, just like Oakland did last year. But anyway I wanted to talk about Denver, I see they have signed Lonie Paxton, JJ Arrington, Correll Buckhalter, which makes me scratch my head but whatever. I know heard they are still trying to get Derrick Ward in there for a visit. The only defensive player I have heard coming for a visit is Brian Dawkins, which is ok also for a year or two. He can mentor Barret. What I am getting at is that our offense was good last year, why are we not getting some players in on defense, they seem to be flying off the shelf. Foxworth signs with Baltimore, Bart Scott to the Jets, I heard Bryant Mcfadden is close to a deal with the Lions. Mabey I am getting ahead of myself, but we have a lot of holes to fill on defense. I hope we can get some good players before they are all signed. We can't build our entire defensive in the draft.
Dolphins grab Gibril Wilson
Look likes the Dolphins have agreed to terms with Safety, Gibril Wilson, I was hoping Denver would have taken a look at him. I still think Bryant Mcfadden, Igor Ilshansky, Abram Elam, Chris Canty, and Gabe Watson are some people we need to look at. I hope we get active is the free agency, but also be smart. I just do not want us to miss out on players because we were not active enough.
Why LB in Draft?
I see all these reports on Denver taking a LB in the draft, Why? I honestly believe we can get a guy in free agency, possibly Bart Scott, James Farrior, Jon Vilma, Dan Morgan. If we can get one of those guys, i think we have good linebackers in place. Moving Jarvis Moss and Dumervil to LB. We have Spencer Larson, Weslie Woodyard, DJ Williams, and Boss Bailey. I think that is enough to get it done. In the draft if Malcom Jenkins or Raji is not there, I think we trade down or take the best DT available (is there another tackle that is good enough for that pick). The other idea is go ahead and get that elite RB we have been looking for and then go after Defense for the rest of the draft. We definatley need safety help I like Chung out of Oregon a hard hitter and sure tackler. I guess I am not sure what we do in the draft I am just not sure LB is the way to go.
Free Agent Picks
Here is a little idea I had about Denvers free agent pickups and I thing the defense could shape up. I have a lot of free agents but I do not think any of them would break the bank.
DE-Elvis Dumervil
DT-Gabe Watson
DE-Chris Canty
OLB-Woodyard
ILB- DJ Williams
ILB Jon Vilma
OLB- Rey Malougha or Spencer Larson
CB-Champ Bailey
CB-Bryan Mcfadden or Malcom Jenkins
S Mike Brown or Abram Elam
S Gibril Wilson
Let me know what you all think, is it a possibility or do I go overboard.
