Antonio Finally Joins Sheffield Wednesday

Nathaniel Clyne on his way?

First it was Luke Young, then Kieron Richardson, the other day it was Nicky Shorey, now the gossip is that the highly rated Crystal Palace full back Nathaniel Clyne could be on his way to the Madejski. Could be something, is probably nothing but you never know Must make slightly awkward viewing for Shaun Cummings seeing all these full backs linked with the club!

A Royal Return for Nicky Shorey?

Sky Sports are reporting that for Reading left back and England international Nicky Shorey could be in line for a return to his former club. With left back one of the areas with a bit of a question mark, Shorey would seem to fit the bill. Experience, good knowledge of the club and available on a free, I can't see how this would be a bad move. Certainly it'd be the easiest scouting job his Dad Steve Shorey's ever done for the club! EDIT: It's now being reported on SSN, with Sky Sources saying he'll be rejoining the Royals.

Anton Zingarevich speaks to the Evening Standard

On Tuesday Reading's new owner Anton Zingarevich gave his first interview to a national newspaper, speaking with Mihir Bose of the Evening Standard. In quite a frank interview he's explained some of the reasons that he went for Reading, why the deal fell through with Everton (fear of the media it would seem) and some of his long term plans for Reading. He comes across I think as being very open (accept with regards to the details of whose money it actually is) and I find it reassuring that the Premier League has clearly been burnt by their experience with Venky's and Blackburn. It'd be interesting to know what you all think

St Patrick's Day XI
