Hello from sunny over cast Florida! It's your faithful servant TFSML. I have very limited Wi-Fi down here in our St. Pete Beach condo so I'm reduced to standing on a stool holding my MacBook over my head in hopes I can steal the neighbour's unlocked Wi-Fi. I suppose I could go to a Starbucks to finish writing this but...
Anyway since I have no TV cable access I'm blissfully unaware of how much the Jays are sucking and what Brett Lawrie is facing suspension wise. I have maintained from the get-go that Brett is a major spazz -regardless if he was justified-he has always struck me as the jock in HS we all would have lived in fear of unless we were his teammate. My only chance of survival would have been to become his toady and sic him on all of you, I digress...

Last night in the 7th inning with 2 outs Jose Bautista was dusted off and knocked down by one of Major League Baseball's most handsome pitchers Alexi Ogando. While the walk-off win was great and all, today Jose Bautista demands vengeance.
After last nights game Edwin Encarnacion had this to say about Jose and his approach for today's game:
"If the splendor of a thousand suns were to blaze forth all at once in the sky, even that would not resemble the splendor of that exalted being and he will become Death, the shatterer of worlds".

Ahoy, hoy! It's the Blue Jays versus Yu Darfish and his Ranger compadres!
The one that got away has come back to try and sink our boat and eat our proverbial Captain Quint! I always thought Cpt. Quint was one of the best characters ever and his presence in Jaws makes the film! His speech about the USS Indianapolis is one of the best of all time. To this day no one is sure who wrote it and he actually mentions a baseball player in it but I digress. You're here for Baseball not Movie talk.

So here it is, the 9th game of the season and already some of us are starting to wander close to the ledge. I think it's fare to say that if the Jays lose this game the season is a total loss!
I hate to make everything all about me but what more do I have to do? I tried cute birds, I tried fire and Voodoo, same results! I'm starting to think that I'm the jinx. I may have to be banned from doing these gamethreads for the sake of the team. So I guess there is nothing for it but to pull out all the stops, go insane and spend all night making a Photoshop disasterpiece. Yes I may have lost it, but that's what happens when your team loses to the lowly OriLOLes!
If you don't see yourself somehow represented in the above masterpiece then it's probably because you sent Bowling Guy an email saying: "I'm amazed that somebody could be that much of a loser. I bet TFSML lives in his parents basement and is in his under pants all day. hahaha". Seriously though, if you're watching me in my underwear while I Photoshop away in my Mom's basement, who's the bigger loser?

Hello kids and welcome to Old Man TFSML's first ever Gamethread. Let's go easy on him shall we? I'm a little slow today, I just switched to Sanka, so...have a heart.(1K Internet points to anyone who can identify what movie this line is from. 1 Million if you don't use the Google)
Let's hope that this series is a cakewalk and the Jays throw a Bautista-Bomb-filled beat down on the boys from B-more. Say that 5 times fast, I dare you.
We're starting to find out who the good teams are and who the good teams aren't. Agent AA7 "The Silent Assassin" says it takes about 2 months to figure out what you have -then about an hour to trade everyone away if you're not happy with them(I added that part). I guess now is the time to find out if this Jays team has trouble getting up for games against teams they know they should beat or instead preys upon them. Lets hope they are the birds of prey tonight. GO JAYS GO!
Since it's the battle of the birds here is a little scouting report about them:
The Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata) is a passerine bird in the family Corvidae, native to North America. It is resident through most of eastern and central United States and southern Canada, although western populations may be migratory. It breeds in both deciduous and coniferous forests, and is common near and in residential areas. It is predominately blue with a white chest and underparts, and a blue crest. It has a black, U-shaped collar around its neck and a black border behind the crest. Sexes are similar in size and plumage, and plumage does not vary throughout the year.
The Baltimore Oriole (Icterus galbula) is a small icterid blackbird that commonly occurs in eastern North America as a migratory breeding bird. This bird received its name from the fact that the male's colors resemble those on the coat-of-arms of Lord Baltimore. Like all icterids called "orioles", it is named after an unrelated, physically similar family found in the Old World: the Oriolidae. At one time, this species and the Bullock's Oriole, Icterus bullockii, were considered to be a single species called the Northern Oriole.

Hello Banterers,
As some of you may know, I'm running the BBB Facebook page. After a great season opener we're up to 601 'likes'! That's up from the 300 and change we had near the end of last year but I think we can do a lot better. It's a small but growing little community we've got going over there and it's got a brand new look as you can see above. Now I know Facebook isn't for everyone but this page is a fun place to hang out, a place that with your help can blossom into a utopian, virtual world of Blue Jay joy and bliss.
Are The Blue Jays Looking To Move?
I know that Florida Auto Exchange Stadium is small, old and in need of some renovations -at least from what I saw but are the Jays considering moving to Arizona?
Dunedin is a small town and so close to the Phillies Spring Training field that the Jays park gets dominated by Philly fans. Maybe it might be a good idea to move to the desert.
Anyone know what a flight to 'Zona goes for?

Hello Friendly Friends,
Since DannyofBosnia was kind enough to start what looks like a potentially epic series of FanPosts I thought I would throw my hat into the ring and add this little tale of joy. I invite you all to add your own epic stories of Sports related epic glory.
I've debating about posting this for sometime. It is definitely related to the Blue Jays and this story is probably in the top 5 best nights of my life. Please excuse my inability to write good with proper formatting, grammar and what not.
