I'm a 26-year-old college student, currently attending Arizona State University where I am majoring in Choral Music Education. I started writing for Bright Side of the Sun (officially) in February 2010. I was the sports editor for ASU's newspaper The State Press, where I have previously held positions as the A&E editor and an A&E reporter.

In my short journalistic career, I've been afforded the opportunities to interview countless people I never thought I'd ever talk to, including Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash (and most of the rest of the Suns, for that matter), John Legend, William Fitzsimmons, Donald Glover (of Childish Gambino and Community fame) and others. I may not have been doing this for a long time, but I am constantly amazed at the opportunities that have been laid out before me. It's really a very humbling experience that I am incredibly grateful for.

Any questions? Feel free to shoot me an email or catch me on Twitter. (@trpaxton)

BREAKING NEWS: Robin Lopez Out At Least 5 Games With Bulging Disk in Back

Team physician Craig Phelps identified the bulging disks in his lower disks on a Saturday morning MRI exam. Final Update: Last Fan Standing 2010 (You did it!)

As most of you may know, I was selected for the Last Fan Standing contest. Just as a recap, out of thousands of entrants, I was selected to be one of 64 bloggers vying for a chance to have my work published by, with lots of other cool prizes for those who made it to the final rounds. Well, I was assigned Wisconsin as my team. As per the rules, I was in the competition as long as the team was. However, in this year's crazy March Madness tournament, 3-seeded Wisconsin was upset by 12-seeded Cornell. I thought all was lost, however... Thanks to all the support I received from the fan voting (that means you), I won a Lenovo laptop. Phrases included in the congratulatory email were for "being so active" and "being a great blogger". So, I owe this all to those of you who went to the site and voted for yours truly. Thanks for making this crazy March Madness season a good one.

Last Fan Standing 2010 (Update!)

So, the Last Fan Standing 2010 tournament is under way! I have been assigned the Wisconsin Badgers to follow and write about until they get eliminated. I can't post the article(s) I write for the competition here, but you can read them on the Last Fan Standing site. There's a catch, though. You (yes, you!) can vote for me! I would appreciate all the votes you can muster up. There are prizes for those bloggers that make it to the latter rounds of the tourney. The Grand Prize is for my articles to be featured on (awesome) and a Lenovo laptop (also awesome). For the runner up, it's a trip for two to Indianapolis and tickets to the NCAA National Championship game. Then, the remaining people that made it to the Final Four round get a trip for two to Las Vegas. Again, thank you so much for voting, and I hope you continue to read the great articles that are posted on the site...there are a lot of great bloggers! (But you should still vote for me)
