Blog a Bull The 2011 All-Star Game

Let's do this!

With the All-Star game approaching, I figured it would be fun to discuss who should be on the respective teams in the East and West. I do these for fun every year, and I do tend to reward the guys having the best year. I will give some consideration to overall career (if there is not a clear cut favorite) and the former All-Star has not had a dramatic drop in production. (Sorry Shaq)

This year, the Bulls had a shot at having 3 guys on the team. Recognition, not only for the great play of Rose, Boozer, and Noah, but also a winning team, with a top 3 seed. Unfortunately, injuries have scuttled that outcome. Can Boozer go on a tear in January and early February to warrant consideration? Seems unlikely. Especially with some of the moves in the summer of 2010. I will disregard NBA rules for positions if its warranted. Onward and Upward!

The East

Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo

Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen

LeBron James and Paul Pierce

Amare Stoudemire and Kevin Garnett

Dwight Howard

Those are locks. Lets go with Chris BoshAl Horford, and Luol Deng (he doesn't get to play)

Others to consider: Ray Felton (gets mad respect from national media) I kinda like him. Boozer. Josh Smith, Joe Johnson (yuck). Jason Richardson. Its hard to put Bosh ahead of Boozington (who deemed him this awesome name?)

The West

Deron Williams and Chris Paul

Kobe Bryant and Manu Ginobili

Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant

Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Love

Tim Duncan and Pau Gasol

Russell Westbrook and Blake Griffin

Just missing the cut: Monta Ellis, who is having a great year, and a player we should target for theft. High scorers Eric Gordon and Kevin Martin. Flop Maestro of the highest order, Luis Scola, who we would love if he were on our team.

Is Nash still an All-Star? Will Love get some love? Do Manu and Duncan deserve it? Man, its hard to keep Duncan off. Share your thoughts.  That West team is insane, ain't it?
