Per Rotoworld:
Free agent KR Clifton Smith is reportedly set to sign with the Dolphins.
The Dolphins were far from convinced that Nolan Carroll and Patrick Cobbs were the answer on kickoffs returns. Smith is likely to take over punt-return duties from Davone Bess as well. If healthy, he's one of the best specialists in the business.
This is why we didn't resign Antonio Bryant
Per rotoworld:
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Antonio Bryant's surgically repaired was still a "problem" this offseason.
Mort suggests the health of Bryant's knee as "one factor to watch" in the Bengals' reported interest in Terrell Owens. Bryant underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee last August, and it continued to bother him off and on throughout the 2009 season. It was already a slight concern that he was "resting" the knee during offseason work, and Mort's report is cause for further pause. There's reason to believe Bryant's knee could be worse than the Bengals have let on. Jul. 24 - 1:10 am et

Trying to Get Rid of Clayton
In addition to DTs Ryan Sims and Chris Hovan, the Bucs are currently trying to unload Michael Clayton.
Clayton, a former first-round pick, became one of the worst re-signings in league history when GM Mark Dominik gave him a five-year, $24 million contract last year. He went on to catch 16 passes in 11 starts. Clayton has scored three TDs in the past five seasons. He'll end up being released. Apr. 25 - 9:57 pm et

Vince Wilfork
Per Rotoworld:
Free agent NT Vince Wilfork said Thursday that playing for either Miami or Tampa Bay would be a "dream come true."
Wilfork went to the University of Miami, so playing in Florida would be a homecoming. It's an unlikely scenario, however, as the Pats will slap him with the franchise tag if they can't come to an agreement on a long-term deal. Source: South Florida Sun-SentinelWhat would you guys think of bringing him in to fill the DT position? I believe he could instantly help the line and we should jump at this, however, Morris seems to like younger guys.
Madden 10 Ratings
I don't know how many of the guys reading Buc'Em play Madden but I was appalled by the ratings of some of the Bucs players. Some examples below:
Jermaine Phillips went down 10 points in speed from last year (87 to 77) and I have no idea why.
The highest rated QB is Leftwich a 74 overall followed by Freeman at 73 and McCown at 70...no Johnson.
Clayton is a 70 overall...low if you ask me.
Gaines Adams is 78 (i think) and he is not that bad.
Barber's speed is at 79 which is a little low.
Bryant is only an 86 overall which I think should be higher with the season he had last year.
Bryant has a stronger leg by 5 points (92) than Nugents. (Bryants power is obviously overrated)
There are many other problems I have with the roster but those are ones that come to mind when I just think about it. If I would have been looking at the depth chart as I wrote this I would have diffenately put more points in but I didn't want to make it too long. Usually I am not a biased fan and know when players are overrated and underrated and I think that many of the bucs were underrated. If you guys are familiar with Madden comment, if not it might be hard to see the rating system right.
Byron Leftwich Visits Tampa Bay
"Leftwich visited the Redskins last Friday, but they probably only offered the minimum. Tampa has more cap room and a greater need. Leftwich isn't remotely a prototype West Coast passer, though, and the Bucs are keeping that offense intact under new coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski. They could use competition for Luke McCown, but we can't imagine they'll offer much money." - Rotoworld.com
This would make me very happy because he has talent and it would mean we wouldn't draft Freeman. I would still want McCown starting but he would be a good back up as I hate Griese. I don't think Freeman is even close to what they are giving him credit for and we really need to draft a DT. What are everyone elses opinion on this?
Added by The Bull Gator: The Pittsburgh Steelers have said they want to bring Leftwich back, but the quarterback wants to see what's out there. It seems like he still wants at least a chance to start, and who can really blame him. He might provide a spark and at least be able to push McCown, giving us a look at how good Luke can really be. No word yet on how the meeting with Leftwich went.
