Conquest Chronicles Kiffin gets a head start on his 2015 class

As per ESPN:  13 year old David Sills from Delaware has committed to USC.  Apparently the kid has always wanted to be a Trojan and has off the wall skill sets.  Granted lots of things can happen between now and signing day, but it shows that we are on kids minds all throughout high school, even outside of California, and that we are a dream destination.  Oh and to save the crosstown rivals some thinking power on how to spin this one, I believe the relevant headline, in the infamous words of tobacco executives: "Get them hooked while they are still young"

Update: Now with some youtube video action

Conquest Chronicles News: Barkley has wrist surgery

According to ESPN, Barkley had arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist. Apparently this isn't major surgery and he should be available for spring practices, but it does add an interesting wrinkle in the quarterback depth, especially with Pete no longer there to give Matt carte blanche on everything. Perhaps this is a start of a very interesting qb battle between Barkley, Mitch Mustain, and even Dillon Baxter. Especially true if Barkley has lingering soreness, though I think if he showed us anything last year it was that he is a tough kid.

Conquest Chronicles Kiffin Gets Another Coach

According to ESPN's Ted Miller, USC has hired Willie Mack Garza away from Tennessee to join his staff here.  As Miller pointed out, I wonder what exactly this means for Rocky Seto as Garza was the secondary coach at Tennessee and I imagine he will work in a similar capacity here.  I'm sure UT fans are ecstatic about losing another coach to USC, especially when they are already shorthanded and with signing day two weeks away.
