Athletics Nation A's Commercials - Behind The Scenes & Bloopers

Pretty funny stuff here found on YouTube with the behind the scenes and bloopers from the year's A's commercials. This is the second year of the Green Collar Baseball campaign. This video features Coco Crisp, Ryan Sweeney dodging a dog, Trevor Cahill perfecting his vision, Andrew Bailey taking his role literally, Kurt Suzuki, Bob Geren and Mike Gallego introducing the spots and giving a brief description from a coach's perspective.

Athletics Nation Dedication - Tattoo

Not sure if anyone knows who this is, but this is dedication to the A's redefined. Kara, the A's in-game host, posted a photo of someone with a Dallas Braden perfect game tattoo from a game recently...that's awesome...and redefines  true A's loyalty!

Check it out:

http://tweetphoto.com/23025740 Now this is some serious A's love: tatoo of perfect game tix stub AND Braden's signature. Crazy?!?!?!

Athletics Nation Dallas Braden Perfect Game T-Shirt - Tonight!!

Verlander vs. Braden tonight, $2 tickets, $1 Hot Dogs and a Dallas Braden Perfect Game T-Shirt?! Awesome. Who's going to the game tonight? Anyone seen what the shirt will look like? Also I saw on Twitter the A's are giving away a signed SI Copy by DB himself - This is what the recent tweet just said: "Braden signed copy of SI for grabs! To win come 2nite & enter @ guest services behind sec120 http://twitpic.com/1ozh72 http://bit.ly/afPfHj"

So who's joining me tonight?!?!

Athletics Nation A's Commercials

Just saw that you can vote on the A's new commercials on oaklandathletics.com. The actual link is here: http://oakland.athletics.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?topic_id=8869984&c_id=oak

My favorite is "Tiny Plate" where Curt Young is giving Bailey hell because he's making him throw a strike over a 3 inch plate. Also think the Rajai/Fast one and Suzuki/Bull one are hilarious. Let's hope these guys maintain their strong 2009 seasons in 2010. In terms of the commercials, what does everyone else think?

Athletics Nation Michael Taylor - Insider Perspective

Wow! Bob Rose is EXCITED about Michael Taylor! He even compares him to Dave Winfield and talks about Carter and Taylor making up the new version of the Bash Bros - The Mash & Dash Brothers , based on Taylor's ability to steal bags and hit bombs (both guys have potential to be 40/20 guys). In any event, check out the new entry of Clubhouse Confidentail at http://clubhouseconfidential.mlblogs.com/

Athletics Nation A's Caravan - Tomorrow Night - Who's Going?

It looks like Ziegler and Rajai will be signing autographs and meeting fans tomorrow after the parade in Walnut Creek. Who's going??? Talk about two super nice guys...from the few times I've said hi to Rajai and Brad, both guys seem to be two of the nicer guys on the team. Also, I've been to the Holiday Parade and tree lighting a bunch of times and it's very cool!

Pinstripe Alley Bay Area Yankees Fans

Calling all Yanks fans who live in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you're going to the Yankees - Oakland A's series August 17th - 19th in Oakland, let me know and we can try to get a pre-game tailgate going in the parking lot. I know there's dollar dog Wednesday, but looking to tailgate for either Monday or Tuesday's game in Oakland. Let's hope we can sweep the A's and stay in first. Go Yanks!

Athletics Nation Coming Out To The Coliseum...

With the team playing sub .500 ball, and the inevitable deadline deals awaiting, what keeps us, the fans, coming out to A's games? As a fan-base what do we want from the A's organization to keep fans interested and coming out to the Coliseum during the second half of 2009? I've got some thoughts of my own, but wanted to see what other AN readers had in mind....all ideas, no matter how out there, are welcome..

Athletics Nation The Z-Man With New Photos

Everyone's favorite's rock-n-roll man, Michael Zagaris (Z-Man), has posted a new blog entry on his personal blog, http://asthruz.mlblogs.com/. It shows some sweet shots of Rickey clowning around having a good time (just like he was back in his playing days), Jemile Weeks coming to Oakland, and Z's new favorite, Carlos getting ready.

Additionally there's some cool shots of the A's magazine shoots with Ryan Sweeney and The Duke.

Check it out!

Athletics Nation Carlos Gonzalez Rocks - And Likes To Have Fun!!!

http://asthruz.mlblogs.com/

Check out these new photos of Car-Go....this guy is gonna be awesome for years....gotta love the first words of the entry:

"An Emerging Star

A major theme of this blog is the emerging star in his infancy with the ballclub, and that is Carlos Gonzalez."

This guy has got the future makings of being better than a Carlos Beltran....Haren was good, but I think this guy is gonna be better...

Athletics Nation Ol' School - A's Style

http://asthruz.mlblogs.com/

Check out Braden's new do! Also super sweet shot of the three DHs sitting together (Cust, Big Frank, and KC Mike)...a lot of power between those three big dudes...but I think the Braden shot has got to be the best...he could slip right into a "night at the roxbury" or "disco fever"...also check out the new shots of Zagaris shooting the magazine shot for A's mag for the upcoming issue…Z is crazy, but the man can shoot…

Athletics Nation A Look Inside The A's Clubhouse

Michael Zagaris's new blog entry shows a really cool look into the A's clubhouse....

www.onehundredpercentbaseball.com or

http://asthruz.mlblogs.com/

it s starts with:

Clubhouse Hijinx + Celebrity Guests The A's have always been known for having a very open clubhouse, with a very warm, fun feel to it.

Every clubhouse is unique, but the A's, for any number of reasons, have always have one of the better clubhouse environments in baseball--and this year is no exception.
