OT Thread 29/08/11
So, a new week and a new OT thread. With the NFL season just around the corner, who've you got to win it all, are the Lions as good as they look? Does the new kickoff rule make any sense to you? Will the Bills ever clear .500? What are people's opinion of JAYSDYNASTY's random polls, are they good for traffic or are they clogging up BBB? The Premiership is well underway and after Sunday's 8-2 thrashing at the hands of Man Utd., are Arsenal already out of the title race? Deus Ex: Human Revolution marked the end of the summer games drought with it's release last week, has anyone played it yet and what do you think? Cowboys and Aliens is released this week in the UK, fill me in folks, is it worth watching? Talk people :D
Romero to miss a start with finger strain
Nothing serious but gives us an idea why he was struggling last outing, expect him back within a week going by experience with similar injuries.

Not sure it's time yet but the first winter mini-camps are coming to an end and the first bits of news for the new season are coming out. Think it may make sense to have a single thread to store all team news on likely levels, position changes, recovery from injuries, etc....

Will be facing the Orioles, wasn't planned but with Cecil running out of gas the Jays need an extra pitcher.

For the 2011 season. Would any Orioles fans with any knowledge be willing to give a quick break down of the stadium and how it plays? Would also be very interested in any notes on the Appy league, is a new one for us Jays fans to learn.
This appears to be a continuation of the Jays new scouting/youth movement, as with all the high school drafting we were going to be very short on places to fit all our pitching. With the Jays expected to leave Auburn this year it could be a straight switch but the Jays are advertising it as an additional team in total. Hopefully we can bring over some solid young talent to the team and add something solid to the Appy league, should expect to see a lot of decent young pitching and hopefully some latin american talent coming over from the DSL.

As I noticed we're a little behind. Usually when the Jays trade any prospects someone passes on details and info to the new team's boards in terms of a scouting report and general notes. Given that we traded you guys two of our most popular prospects (if not our best prospects) i'm a little surprised to see nothing yet but will try to fill in as best as possible.
