Howdy,
I lived in Mpls for 15 years, between 1985 and 2000. I'm a graduate of the U of M, and worked in a bunch of places you've probably been to, and a bunch you haven't. Moved to L.A. to see the big city, and after ten years, I'm still seeing it. (plus - and a big plus - the weather is sweeeeeet here)
I own one vikings jersy, it's #40. Hopefully that gives you an idea of my mentality. Another idea I can give you is
