What to do with Juan Rivera
<!--StartFragment-->
Now that we are a quarter of the way through the season I think that it is time to start addressing some of the concerns over the angels roster. i.e. what to do with Q, Juan Rivera and Willtz. I am a big fan of Willitz and think that he should be playing everyday. I think that most people on this site are tired of Q and think that k-mo would be a better backup at first. But what I am curious about is what everyone thinks we should do with Johnny Rivers. With potentially six everyday outfielders we definitely have an overcrowded outfield. Although I provide no stats to back up my argument I feel that Juan is at least our worst to second worst outfielder and at the best 4th or 5th best hitter. It is unlikely that Juan will get the necessary at bats he needs to get going, unless at lest 2 other OF go down. He is a free agent at the end of the year and not part of the Angles future plans. So the question becomes what to do with him. I myself am leaning towards trading him in the near feature to acquire maybe a young A or AA arm. the problem is that without AB's his trade value is low and we might be better just keeping him as insurance rather than trading him and getting nothing in return. What do you all think?

Wood Down Brown Up
<!--StartFragment-->
According to the salt lake bees website it looks like Scioscia has seen enough out of B. Wood, for now, and is sending down the strikeout prone 3B/SS and is going to give Matt Brown another shot. I think that this is a good move. Although Wood did not have enough A.B. to give up on the kid, our punch less offense needs a little more help and I think Brown deserves another opportunity to prove himself. Here’s to hoping that Brown has a better outing then he did last time.
