Other Steelers making the top 100 greatest players of all time include Terry Bradshaw, Mike Webster, Mel Blount, Jack Ham, Jack Lambert and Rod Woodson. Steeler players nominated, but not making the 100 include Bill Dudley, Ernie Stautner, John Henry Johnson, Franco Harris, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Dermontti Dawson and the only active player nominated Hines Ward.

Behind the Steel Curtain Censorship Continued

It is written in the top paragraph, right-hand side...

Welcome to BTSC, a blog dedicated to the SIX-time world champion Steelers.

"Thoughtful discussion with a sense of history."
Art Rooney Jr.

"Level-headed thinking."
Pittsburgh Post Gazette

Nowhere is it written 'a blog dedicated to religion and politics' or pseudo-pornography, sexual innuendo and personal insults for that matter. People, in the privacy of their own homes and under the anonymity of the internet, however, are going to express things that would be impossible for them in the real world. This is a blessing for the normally shy person who finds real interpersonal relationships difficult. For the person who is harboring anger and resentment it is a curse.

Imagine a football game without referees. Just like a football game has referees to maintain the integrety of the game, this blog has its founder and editor Michael Bean to maintain the blogs mission and vision. I applaud Michael for his level-headed thinking. Michael, you possess an intelligence and maturity beyond your years.

I love the humor that one finds here. It is a Pittsburgh-style humor found nowhere else in the world. Right now I am thinking about the 'Isaac Redman, Most Interesting Runningback in the World' post which had me laughing out loud. I felt comfortable with my 9-yo grandson, a budding Steeler fan, reading that post. There are other posts here which I personally censor.

My dilemma is this. I trust Michael Bean when it comes to maintaining the blogs mission and vision statement, but also understand this is America where we enjoy freedom of expression. The solution, I think is this:

Establish a parallel blog where inappropriate discussion can be transfered as opposed to deleted. There it will run its course.
