Cincy Jungle Any News of other draft pick signings??

As of today both Melvin Ingram and Quinton Coples have both signed there is no reason Dre Kirkpatrick shouldn't be signed sealed and delivered by weekends end. They have the pick before and after him to compare to. Also I would love to see Kevin Zeitler signed too...They were making great progress signing players and then all at once it stopped. Besides the 1st round picks signing its time to re-up with both Marvin and ZImmer their contracts are coming to an end...I would love to see Zimmer become head coach; I think Marvin has pointed us in the right direction but I believe Zim could take us to the next level...Alot contracts are up this year and that means contract years which usually means players above average seasons. Would love to see Rey prove us all wrong and have a monster season at MLB and I see this happening; he hears the rumors and grumblings; he will play with a chip on his shoulder all season...Here's to a Great Season!!! Who Dey!!

Cincy Jungle Reality with Mike Brown verus What we want as fans.

I guess many you have seen all the free agent movement since 4 o'clock; Pierre Garcon, Ben Grubbs, Carl Nicks, Marquis Colston, Tracy Porter, Cortland Finnegan and even Robert Meachum......heck alot of us have mentioned a few of these guys would be great in Cincy!! But we all needed to be realistic......Even though Mike Brown needs to spend this money it appears that he will drag his feet with this too....I know we have a young team and our best players have come via draft but we need to make moves....But we are not.....Even the Bills are active Mario Wiliiams...So I guess its time to sit back and watch Mike Brown do what he does best!!

Cincy Jungle 1 Game doesn't Define a career!!

I know some of you may have read the recent fan post about Taylor Mays and after reading the comments it seems people are ready to give up on him...Yes he has been a work in progress this year and I know all of us want to see him on the field but some things take time. He really could use a full offseason with Zimmer.. So far his special teams play has been good sometimes great. As for defense he only played in 8 snaps against the Rams and yes he has the bad play in the endzone but come on he needs to be on the field more...And not just to stop the run. If you remember back to the Houston game when he was covering Owen Daniels; Owen didn't catch one pass on him!! So lets give him a shot and he needs more playing time!! Remeber one game doesn't define a player heck AJ Green only had 4 catches for 29 yards against the 49ers! Some times we are all allowed off days!! We should stand behind Mays because he is clearly the quickest, strongest safety we have!!

Cincy Jungle Bengals vs Cards...

I know many of us won't be able to make it to the game this Saturday so I was wondering does anyone know of any good links to watch the game on the internet; considering its another blackout weekend? I don't really care if the image isn't the best but I would love to watch the game. And considering I live in the Cincinnati Area I would have to drive 76 miles to watch the game and thats not happening on Christmas Eve!! I will be there on New Years Day to watch them take on the Ravens and I really hope with only 2 weeks remaining we can pull it together and make the playoffs. WHO DEY!!

Cincy Jungle 1st round of 2012 Draft

I know we all want to see Mike Brown use both picks to move us up in the draft well we should all know better than this ; he is not gonna do this so I think we should be realistic and use the picks where they fall...I know this is the last year we see of Ced Benson so why not give Bernard Scott a chance next year and if he can't carry the load then in the draft of 2013 we would go after Marcus Lattimore who is a beast!! I know he has an injury this year but he didn't tear an ACL or anything so he'll be ready to go next year!! Even if we could move up in this years draft Richardson is going top 5 and we ain't moving into there so if we can move up alittle we should look into LaMichael James who is a home run hitter...I think he would make our offense unstoppable...But lets hope the trend of Mike Brown making good moves continues so the improvements continue!

Cincy Jungle Taylor Mays

Hey its been a week since we brought Taylor Mays over from the 49ers; what I was wondering is how has he been looking in practices?? I went to the game against the Panthers and of the plays I saw him on defense he seemed to be in the right place and seem to get a couple of tackles... I really hope he can get it together and eventually be a starter for us....I was a huge fan of him in college...Who Dey!!!!

Cincy Jungle Organization and Coaches were under a T.O effect

In our 3 wins this season TO had a total of 7 catches for 99 yards...So that works out to be 2 catches a game for about 33 yards...In all the other games we lost; if we look back it looks like to me that Carson was trying to force alot of passes into TO. And alot of these were interceptions. I think all the coaches didn't want to hear the TO of old so to silence him Carson tried to throw to him alot. This style of offense is not what this team was built for. I enjoyed all the big games and buzz TO brought to this team but he wasn't the answer we needed. I really feel Antonio Bryant would have better suited this team. I really hope we resign Benson and J-Joe. And let T.O go. Bring in a free-agent receiver who will suit us better and draft AJ Green or Julio Jones who can play with Ocho for a season and will be groomed to be our #1 receiver..Who Dey!

Cincy Jungle Fullback??

Recently we signed Chris Pressley to the Practice Squad so I was wondering why we haven't moved him onto the 53 man squad yet...He knows are offense considering he was with us for part of last year; including all of training camp..We all see what he can be and if we can move him into the offense we can let Jermaine Gresham do what he is suppose to do stretch the field. I think J.G is having a great season but he would do even better if he could stop worrying about being a fullback at times...Pressley is a beast and would help us in all areas of offense running and pass blocking..So now that we are 2-7 its time to see what we have..And this goes for alot of players...(Jerome Simpson)

Cincy Jungle Lets Face it the Season is Over

Ok let me start off by saying there is a difference between being a fan and a realistic..As big as a fan I am of this team I realize things aren't going to get any better. Look at the upcoming schedule we play Pitt, Indy, Buffalo, Jets, Pitt and then New Orleans...This is a brutal stretch and I don't see it ending well. We'd be lucky to go 2-4 thru this stretch but 1-5 and is more like it...I see us finishing this season 4-12 maybe 5-11 at best...Time to look towards the draft; wow this reminds me of the 90's....Our D-Line gets 0 pass rush...There are players in the NFL that have more sacks then our whole team does...This is embarrassing...We can't tackle when it counts and Carson throws INT's at the worst possible times...This team needs an overhaul and it starts at the Top!

Cincy Jungle How many Games will this team win??

After seeing todays game it made me think what the remainder of the season will look like for us. Looking ahead to the schedule after the bye things don't look good. We have Atlanta, Miami, Pitt, Indy, Buffalo, Jets, New Orleans, Pitt for a 2nd time, Cleveland, San Diego and finish up at Baltimore. So now that we saw how bad things reallly are after watching them lose the Tampa today what is everyones prediction for the rest of the season?

Cincy Jungle Looking Ahead

After the season is over we have some key free agents and if history tells us anything we know Mike Brown isn't going to spend money to resign all of them. After this season JJ, Ced, Ocho and even TO will be free agents. Which way do you see the Bengals spending their money? I'd like to see them keep JJ and Ced and franchise Ocho until that decide what direction this team is headed.

Cincy Jungle Chris Pressley

We are in need of a Fullback; we lost out of Own Schmidt when he decided to sign with the Eagles. We should look into trading for Chris Pressley he is the 2nd string fullback in Tampa and heck a backup fullback how much is he really ever gonna play being in that spot. Why not give up a 5th round draft pick for him..He knows our system the coaches seemed to like him and lastly he's a beast..We have cut 5th rounders in the past so this wouldn't be a bad move for us...
