Shaq Traded... Not To Utah

Sorry MTN. Shaq to Cleveland for Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic (remember him?), #46 pick, and cash. Yet another potential Jazz target gone.

NBA Draft Rumors: A Round Up

The NBA draft, as you all know, is getting closer. Much closer. And, as a result, rumors are flying in every which direction.

Warriors/Hawks Trade

Seems like Acie Law/Speedy Claxton for Jamal Crawford. That means the Jazz won't be able to trade AK to the Warriors for Crawford, as had been mentioned before.

Hawks/Warriors Nearing Trade

Story at the link. Details as of now... Jamal Crawford for Acie Law & Speedy Claxton.

Hackett, Goings, Bridges Cut

The Carolina Panthers have released veteran receiver D.J. Hackett, offensive lineman Jeremy Bridges and running back Nick Goings. The moves made Wednesday come as the Panthers scramble to get under the $123 million salary cap before the start of free agency on Friday.

Heat/Raptors Trade

Marion & Banks for Moon & O'Neal. So much for the Booze to Miami in the off-season talk.

Panthers Trade For McCown

The Panthers have traded an undisclosed 2009 draft pick to the Miami Dolphins for QB Josh McCown (who was probably on the verge of getting released anyways). Wonder if the Matt Moore injury is worse than they're saying right now...

Just makes sense to get this up after the 7 reasons to keep him around.

Let Boozer Walk?

The fear around here seems to be that Booze will jump ship after the season, leaving and netting the Jazz nothing in return. And to lose a key player in such fashion could hurt the team. But maybe,...

No Josh Smith

Any minute chance of a sign-and-trade for Josh Smith is gone... he just signed an offer-sheet with the Grizzlies. So he'll either be a Hawk or a Grizzly next year.

Arroyo heads overseas

Ex-Jazzster Carlos Arroyo has abandoned ship, leaving the NBA to go overseas.

Another Western Conference team improves

Ron Artest to the Rockets for Bobby Jackson, a 1st rounder, cash, and one more player (if it's Donte Greene as rumored, the deal can't go down till August 14th or so). Gotta love sitting still.

Nets bigs on block?

Kwame A Piston

I know the names been mentioned here (or on some other Jazz site somewhere), but no more... Kwame Brown is a Piston. One less big for the Jazz to target.

Josh Smith could be traded...

Any chance the Jazz go after him? It'd take a sign-and-trade from the Hawks side, so I'm not sure of the contract he'd get. But he'd be a good defensive presence at the 3-spot. The article mentions "Western Conference power", and while I'm not sure if people would put the Jazz in there, it could good trade for the Jazz. Thoughts?

The Bastardization of Baseball (Olympics)

This is just stupid, in my opinion. Totally stupid.

Thomas Davis changes positions

He's moving from the strong-side to the weak-side.
