Benjarvus Green-Ellis and the RB situation
Just throwing some thoughts together on this since we just re-upped with Faulk. Anyone have any thoughts what our RB situation will be going into 2010? I really hope Benji gets some playing time, I liked what I saw in '08 and the the other limited carries he had last year and in the preseason. I assume that Taylor and/or Morris won't be back. I would love to see Le'ron Mclean in a pats uniform, wouldn't mind trading a pick for it (2nd round? we have three of them).
I see only two tenative line ups now for 2010:
1. Maroney
2. (Free Agent pick up)
3. Faulk
4. Ellis-Green
or
1. Maroney
2. Faulk
3. Ellis-Green
4. Sixth or Seventh round pick
So these are my thoughts, would love to hear yours--specifically on BGE's future...
May as well get this thread started...to rest or play on Sunday?
Hey Guys,
Long time reader, first time poster (I believe). Anyways, what are the thoughts out there as to whether we should rest our key starters Sunday vs. playing the game to win? This is what I see as the scenario at hand.
If we play our starters, we have a chance that we can beat a decent team on the road (sorry Buf). Despite their record, Houston is a talented team and when they play their best can run with the elite. They will have motivation to win. I believe we have a lot of momentum coming from yesterday's victory and that we should capitalize by starting our A-team for at least a half to see what happens. A Jets win and a Pats win would make for an epic first round game...
Obviously by resting our starters we have a chance to see what our roster can do. A win would be nice but it wouldn't be that probable (No Brady, Moss, Welker, Vince, etc.). Also keep in mind that the Ravens are playing @ Oakland this weekend, assuming they win...I'm not sure we really want to host them again over the Jets/Broncos/Pitt...
Just some thoughts to marinate on. Keep up the solid work.
