I've always told my kids that this is what 10 - 3 and 42 - 10 will get you...
Georgia only has one decent win – Georgia Tech. There’s a chance that Georgia isn’t nearly as good as the stats, playing against a slew of miserable SEC offenses. If the Dawgs had played the three best teams from the West in the regular season – Arkansas, LSU, and Alabama – they probably would’ve been 7-5 and looking for a new head coach.
Not that I care what CFN thinks (they obviously don't think about improving their crappy website), but from the outside looking in, and without seeing UGA play this year, I would probably say the same thing. Of course, I would know that IT'S IMPOSSIBLE THAT WE WOULD PLAY THOSE THREE TEAMS IN THE SAME SEASON. I mean, continuing that logic, if we had played those three powerhouses from the West (not so sure about Arkansas, but I digress) and Boise State and South Carolina and Oklahoma State and Oregon and Wisconsin and Stanford and Virginia Tech and Baylor and the Denver Broncos, we could easily be 0 - 12 right now and looking for a new athletic director.
It just bothers me. I can't help it. Perhaps it's because I'm so pumped up about this game. But for whatever reason, I want a picture of this guy with concern on his face.
Dream On, Dream On, Dream On, Dream Until Your Dream Comesssss True!
In true AJC fashion, first??
Hell to the Yeah!!!! What does this mean? You tell me. I just have to click publish before someone beats me to it...
Sometimes things are simple. This is one of those things. We need this guy! It's that simple.
UGA Alum Hints Richt is Done
This sounds a lot like the kind of negativity that gets thrown around on this and other UGA boards. IMO, it's a pretty powerful and relevant assessment of the team and the coaching staff. I can't wait until the DawgSports heavyweights opine on these statements...
"What has he been doing for nine years? I have never heard any college, high school, professional coach [say] that [he] was not able to spend enough time on football."
"If we are hiring religious instructors, let’s go to the Candler School of Theology over here in Decatur and get some of their people to come and coach our football team."
"...Alabama and Auburn and Tennessee are working and kicking our butts and recruiting people and getting coaches that have spread offenses. I mean, can you imagine? We scored two field goals against Central Florida."
One and Done!
So Mack Brown and Texas are taking a different approach than CMR and UGA. One bad year horrible year pathetic year and 3 assistants are gone. It will be interesting to see if and when this move pays off. Of course, UGA was on a slow, invisible to the untrained eye, degression into obscurity. Texas managed to skip the whole $200 thing on their way there.
Important Poll: Will UGA be better, the same, or worse next year than this year?
Will UGA be better, the same, or worse next year than this year?
Okay. I resisted the urge, but Dawg Sports insisted I continue to type. So that's what I'm doing. I'm typing, I'm typing...
Yes. I am aware that this poll would probably hold more weight after our misery has ended this season is finally over. And yes, I'm aware that a lot of people wanted to beat me up in the last poll. So I didn't make that an option this time.
Warning!!: This will ruin your day!!
You might want to grab a beer, turn off the sound, and watch it over and over again. Then again, you might comment that I should shut up and focus on the future...
Either way. Let's get in touch with our inner selves. Tell me how this video makes you feel.

DawgNation will recognize the Gentle Lady from Florida... unfortunately.
1) I don't just smell blood, I can taste it. I'm in Gator Country. I was raised there. I was born in Gainesville. I have a degree from the University of Florida!!! But by the grace of God, my Moultrie-bred father injected me with a red and black serum that has allowed me to fend off intense Gator indoctrination camps as a child and labor through the daily attacks and annual humiliation I've endured as a teen and adult. But today... today... it all changes. It's my time. It's our time!!! Today, we retake our rightful place in this rivalry. Oh yes... make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after, it's a reckoning!!! That's right, after today, when the answer is "the people responsible for alligator extinction and the early retirement of Urban Meyer", rest easy knowing the question is "Who let the Dawgs out?!?!?!"
2) Perhaps the reason my poem scored so low in the poll was because the last line didn't resonate enough with the voters. "So 1... 2, 3, 4, and 5, dem dere Gata won't make it out alive" was a reference to the end of this fine example of American eloquence:

Hershel signs MMA contract!!
I really don't know what to say but here's the link along with very little info except that he will be participating in a 12 week boot camp:
Ex-NFL star Herschel Walker signs deal with MMA promoter Strikeforce
I seriously doubt he would do this unless he was confident he could smash some face in. At the age of 47, he's still built like a 30 yr. old. I hope he can fight like one....
