1) Holy crap did I actually see some weak side D tonight? I know it sounds crazy and someone please correct me if I'm wrong but the Blazers looked to set about 38 screens each trip down the floor and for the most part our D was able to rotate, close out on the man with the ball while still covering the man under the hoop. I especially need to point out Kelenna in this regard, he may have had an off night on O, but he came up big on D with the great rotation and it looked contagious.

2) I've noticed this trend in the past couple of games that I don't quite understand, last night for instance. Buike gets the start and plays well in the first to help build the lead. He hits his 1 and only shot of the night, draws a couple fouls by taking it strong to the hole and plays solid D..... then gets benched till halfway through the 2nd and can't get back into a rhythm. It seems like when Don lets him play consistent minutes he delivers.   

3) I love Jackson’s play and will defend it until the end of time, but Jackson + Maggette on the court at the same time = no es bueno. Here's why, when Jackson drives to the hole, he is, for the most part looking to dish of course he'll look to score (this isn't Jason Kidd we're talking about) and he's the best Warriors this year at running the pick and roll.

But Maggette on the other hand is a one man wrecking crew, 99% of the time Maggette = a wing jumper or a drive into the entire team opposing team to draw a foul. This is good in the fact that it helps us win games by drawing fouls and he's a stud coming off the bench, but it ruins the flow of the offense as it did last night. Every time I see one pass to Maggette for a wing jumper with 15 seconds on the shot clock I cringe (yes even is he makes it) because that's a shot anyone can get anytime. 

My point is in the second it almost felt like every time they got into a half court set Jax and Mags were both trying to get into a rhythm that came at the expense of the other 3 players on the floor. Little to no passing, and lots of jump shots.

4) This one has nothing to do with the game, but I visited the team store afterward looking for some of The City gear when I was hit with the news. The guy at the counter said they wont be selling anymore merchandise nor will the team be sporting the look this season. Because the team has to pay for the rights to sell the merchandise and chose not to this year. I hope the guy is just some douche that doesn't know what he's talking about, but this is the first that I've heard about it.  

5) Lastly Big Ups to AR with his first player of the game! 9 points 10 rebounds and 1 steal was HUGE with Turiaf in foul trouble. For anyone curious after the game he was questioned about his role coming off the bench and what it's like playing for Don Nelson. He talked about how in college he was asked to do a little of everything, now just trying to settle into one role has been the toughest challenge for him.
