BJ Penn is a cool dude man. I'll be honest, at first, it didn't seem like he could fight that good. I mean, I don't know about his ground game and all of that stuff, but he's got some pop and in just the 3 days I've been working with him, he has improved man. I don't know shit about that ground stuff, but I can get their defense tight and get them throwing their shots right. I got BJ working on something just for a taller opponent. I don't know what BJ's ground game is like at all, but if he uses what I'm showing him, he won't need it Trust me when I tell you now. I bet he aint going back to Freddie Roach either. he worked with Freddie "the Joke Coach" Roach and he telling me he has never seen the stuff I'm showing him, so what does that tell you? Man, the only thing Fredie Roach can do better than me is wash my car.

Fighters Complain, Lie and Exaggerate

Let's be real, it sounds like many fans and fighters do not want to hear the truth. Many of us are aware that fighters rarely enter a fight 100%. That’s cool, we can accept that. But if a fighter...

Boxers don't pull any punches and neither should those of us who train and write about these fearless warriors. Whether a championship is at stake or not, one- sided bouts in which a devastating puncher is at work must be halted, if not by the corner, then by the referee or doctor. Boxers must be protected from their bravery. The punishment that Briggs suffered on Saturday was so egregious and unnecessary that it was a blow to the gut to watch. It was enough to make a person feel guilty about being involved in the sport.

Ok, if the gift that keeps giving, Chael Sonnen, turns out to be a cheater - which he is not until all the facts come out, can we say the following: Ed Soares is a classy guy. He's had all the...

Silva, though, has rarely shown killer instinct in the last two years. Even his win over Griffin wasn’t devastating, though that wasn’t his fault. He hit Griffin with a jab while moving backward and stopped him.

I really have to thank my fans, but I also ask people to understand that MMA is a sport. At times, we find people on the internet losing their composure because of a fight result, which isn't cool. After all, this isn't a fight. No one walks in there to kill anyone. I always do my best to respect my opponent, and Shogun has always proven to be very respectful. Supporters from both camps should understand that we train to win, but respect is also supremely important, and that is essential for the continued growth of the sport. In the end, when the fight and the rivalry are all said and done, we'll all get together and show that we're colleagues. If we wish to take the sport to the top, we must follow this line of thought.

"I'll fight whoever they want. I'm not scared of winning or losing. I've been through all that, and I'm not hiding behind the belt. They even considered having me hand over the belt." "Ed told me that Joe Silva said something about having me give up the belt, and that things would still be pretty much the same, but I'd be free to put on super fights or fight in a different weight class. However, we thought about it, and came to the conclusion that this was something I earned with a lot of sweat and tears. It wasn't something I did on a whim, and I'm not the champion on a whim." "I think that would be disrespectful to the fans. I don't plan on giving up the belt, and I won't do it. I might lose it in my next fight or a little further down the road, but much like I won it, I hope someone else really wins it. I want it to be earned the same way I earned it."
