Vikings Fantasy Football Team Names
With all the recent signings made by the Vikings, I think it's time to start thinking about what various fantasy football team names could be made with the newly acquired Vikings. Over the past two years, we had Favre's name to use, such as with Favre Dollar Footlong. Now with Favre & Sidney Rice gone, Dovovan McNabb, Christian Ponder, Devin Aromashadu, & Michael Jenkins here, what names could be made? Does anyone have any good ideas?

What do you guys think. His best year was with Favre as his QB, so maybe the Vikes could catch some lightning in a bottle here. However, he has been truly awful the last 2 years so this might not end up being such a good move.

Reviving the Chris Johnson/AD Debate
Good news everyone, Trent Dilfer agrees with us!

He says many of the same things you all said earlier such as how AD is better in the red zone. I don't really know how much Trent Dilfer's opinion means to anyone here...but I guess it's good that he can make the obvious choice of AD over CJ! So, does Trent Dilfer gain any more respect points from you guys after saying this?
Chris Johnson Better Than AD?
According to Kerry J. Bryne of SI, he is.

I don't know, Chris Johnson is really good, no doubt, but I don't think he's better than AD. I realize that CJ has more yards this year, but, I think AD will finish with more. Also, I think that fact that the Vikes are 7-1 and the Titans only have 2 wins says something about the two players. Well, what do you guys think?
Here's an interesting article
ESPN's Kevin Seifert has an interesting article about comparing the 1998 Vikings to this years Vikings. There are certainly some similarities I think, but, like the article says, the '98 teams offense was much more explosive than this years team. I also agree that this years team is more well-rounded, however. I think our defense is better this year than in '98. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Loadholt?
Just saw on ESPN that Loadholt is questionable with an ankle injury. Anybody know any more information about that? I would hate to see Ryan Cook in there. That would mean for sure that Favre will be sacked 3-4 times today no matter how bad the Rams D-line is.

Analyst Predictions
Has anyone noticed that lately there has been a visible shift in all the analyst "expert" predictions about the vikings this season. After we signed Favre they were all saying how "this was our season" with many of them picking us to win the super bowl. However lately, I've noticed that many of them are now saying that we won't be a good team and that favre will break down in the second half. I've also seen a recent love-fest for the packers and bears. Just look a SI's latest power rankings .

I mean, maybe the packers will be a good team this year, its really impossible to tell...but the 3rd best team in the league!? Sorry but I don't buy that. Also look at SI's latest NFL predictions article.

Many of them picked favre to have a bad year, none of them picked the vikings to win the north, and only 4 picked them to win the wildcard. Now, I for one actually see this as a potentially good thing for the vikings. I also happen to be a new york mets fan and they were picked by many during spring training to win the world series, and well, lets just say thats not happening. I think it might be good for the vikings to be considered the underdog by many heading into the season. That way, if we have a bad year we just say "well, they weren't supposed to be good" and if they do win the super bowl, it will feel that much better knowing they did so as an underdog. Plus, I don't think I can handle having both my baseball and football team having dreadfully disappointing seasons.
