I need your help!
Ok guys. It is time to do something that I have known for a while now I would have to do. I need to officially change my screen name. I have come up with a few options but thought that I would give you guys the chance to weigh in and throw some ideas out as well.
My name is Toby, so I came up with the obvious - TitanToby
I also thought that i could leave it be for a few more months and see if we pick up Matt Flynn, at which point I would effectively be - Flynncanity. (Thats a long shot, however pretty funny)
I really have nothing that I would consider catchy someone please help!
Nike to take over jerseys for NFL 2011????
http://talk.baltimoresun.com/showthread.php?t=274496
Check out this link a friend sent to me. I love Reebok, and hope that this is completely false. Some of these jersey idea's are so bad. I really am not fond of the uniform idea for the Titans, but the helmet sure does look cool. Chime in and let me know what you think about ours, and others...What I love, is that the Steelers could not possibly look any more gay.

These 3 things I know are true!
1. 2-2 feels a lot better than 0-4! - Just thought I would remind everybody that this time last year we were 0-4 with all hope lost, and then we still almost pulled off the comeback of a lifetime and made the playoffs! Were gonna be O.K.
2. The Colts are already 0-2 in the AFC South! - I know, I know. Somebody out there is saying yea but Houston is a beast! Look, it is like this. Houston is much improved, but we all know that Foster or any other RB for that matter is NOT gonna run crazy on our defense. So we make them one dimensional and have a better chance of beating them. Plus Matt Shaub still has nightmares about the Titans!!!!!! We still have a really good shot at winning this division.
3. A pissed off Titans team is way better than a front running Titans team - Yes, we should have beaten the Donko's. Yes, the fact is we beat ourselves several times in that game. This team should be 3-1 right now. CJ has had his mouth shut, VY has had his ego handed to him by fish, Chuck Cecil is $40,000 lighter in the wallet, and now most of the NFL world views us as a team that will self implode. GOOD! This team needs a little case of the "Red Ass" Everytime a Titans team gets pissed, it always results in a good run.
Here is the bottom line. We are Titans fans for a reason. The season is still young, and there is a LOT of football left to be played. I want to see some positive posts for a change. Fisher is a great coach, our organization is top notch, and we have a lot to be proud of as fans of the Two Toned Blue.
Go Titans!

One Ticket for this weeks game
Hey guys. I have one ticket available for this weeks game against the the Cards. It is in the flame pits sitting somewhere around row 27ish. I paid $60 for this ticket but I can not go due to my Grandmother being near death. If anyone would like this ticket my friend will meet you at the stadium and you can pay him whatever you feel is appropriate. I would love to get my money back but will take whatever. And if you can not afford to pay anything and would just love to watch our boys play, then take the ticket and be blessed. Pray for my family in this tough time.
If you are interested just text me for info 423-718-1944
Props!
First let me say that this post is designed for opinions! Opinions in both directions as a matter of fact. After watching Saturday nights game I came away with a lot better feeling concerning VY! I do NOT think he should start over KFC but, I do feel he has made some significant strides in his learning curve. Below I will elaborate!
1. This is really the first time we have gotten a good look at VY in Dingers Offense. (I know there was last year but we all know how that went)
2. VY made reads on Sat. (I for one have never seen him go through his progression of reads before)
3. VY threw an INT and came back the very next drive and threw the ball without fear! (That is huge for him or any QB, not to mention he scored)
4. VY finally broke out his legs again! (at the end of the half he should have thrown the ball away to get another shot, and he realizes that, see post game quotes on titansonline.com) But the other run was vintage VY and a dang good decison to tuck it and run
5. My last point is that he did this against Clevelands starting Defense for the most part. (I know it is Cleveland but it was also the best they have to throw at us, if that matters?)
Finally I want to add that this is not a rah rah let VY start post, it is just a Hey kid you did a nice job and I can tell you have done some growin up type post! If KFC went down with VY playing this way, we still are in almost every single ball game, maybe all of them.
So whats your take? Can you see progress or am I looking through rose colored glasses?
New Titans Ringtones!
What's up MCM family? It has been a while since I posted last, but I have been reading everyday and keeping up with ya. Last year at the end of the season I made 2 different Titans ringtones. 1. The music city miracle (in honor of this site of course) 2. Touchdown Titans.
I have had different people through out the year send me txts and ask for them still. With that in mind I thought I would ask my family here at MCM if there is any other Titans ringtone you might like. Maybe a SAAAAACKED call by Mike Keith or anything else you would like to hear over and over as your phone blows up through out the day!
Please leave some suggestions as to what you would like and I will try to find the sound bites for ya. Also if you dont have the other ringtones and would like them just shoot me a TXT 423-718-1944
On another note I would like to say to Jimmy, August, Hal and anybody else who contributes a lot...........You have really taken this site to a whole new level. It is now one of the premier Titans sites on the web. I am proud to have seen it grow over the last 2 years or so. Keep up the good work, and GO TITANS!
More Titans ringtones
If anyone has any titans audio clips that they could send me then I would gladly make them into ringtones. I am especially looking for Mike Keith saying Saaaaaaaaaacccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkeeeeeeeeed! If you have anything just e-mail me at TWsuprman45@aol.com and I will post on here when they are available.
Lets have Titans ringtones going off all over Tennessee this weekend. Go Titans
i need more words so I will just say this RAVENS SUCK!!!!!
Touchdown Titans Ringtone
I have been playing around on the net as of late and have found a way to make my own ringtones. I found a nice clip of Mike Keith saying "Touchdown Titans" so I made it into a ringtone. Anyone who would like this all you have to do is Text me and ask for it. There is no cost for this I am just glad to help out a Titans fan!! My number is 423-718-1944
Also I am currently working on a music city miracle ringtone. (Thats for Jimmy)
I need your help!

Enough of Memory Lane, It's time for VICTORY LANE!
Hi, RTT
Im new to the site, I am usually spending all my time over at MusicCityMiracles the Titans blog. However after the game last night I just thought that I would come make a few comments over here, and who knows may even stick around.
Fulmer is a great man and WAS a great Coach. We all knew it was time though. I think the saddest thing I have ever seen was Ali fighting past his prime! I am glad Coach Fulmer had the class to go out the way he did. Now enough of paying tributes to the past lets talk Vol future!
On ESPN.com today it is reported that Lane Kiffin will be bringing his father Monte Kiffin over to UT as D coordinator. This man is a defensive master mind! He invented what is known as the Tampa 2 defense. Hamilton said he wanted to make a splash with this signing and so far it looks like a tidal wave. Even Peyton himself was a fan of signing Kiffin, and signed off on the offer as an advisor. (ESPN.COM)
I dont think that I have ever been this excited about the hiring of a new head coach. Not even Bruce Pearl. Kiffin is a Great recruiter and rumor has it that the #1 QB in the nation who previously had only visited USC and was said to have already made up his mind will pay UT a visit in December soley on the fact that Kiffin was named Coach.
Coach K is going to bring the BIG name recruits with him, and the #6 Defense in the land just got an evil genius to lead them. Next year is going to be fun no doubt. I hope that the Crimson Tide and the Bullpuppy fans are taking notice!!!!
This one is for Shake N Bake!
I know your informative post over at MCM is just for fun and you really dont think that you can actually win the division. So in light of your fun I thought that I would have some of my own. These shirts have already shipped to all Hibbett Sporting Goods stores in TN. And I will have one SUNDAY as long as the BROWNS take care of business! I guess you and all of my other frinds on StampedeBlue are the only people who honestly think you still have a shot. ( IF you will let me know your shirt size I will make sure you get one of these :) )
And now the real reason for this post. Just wanted to wish all of you Colts fans a very Happy Thanksgiving. I enjoy our rivalry and picking back and forth with you guys and gals. This is what makes the NFL so great. Thanks for being real fans.
Your Friend,
Vincanity ( Fan of the 2008 AFC SOUTH CHAMPION TENNESSEE TITANS )
AFC SOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP SHIRTS!!
These can be released as soon as Indy lays an egg against Cleveland this Sunday. Go Brownies! They can be bought on sunday at all Hibbett Sports in Tennessee. ( As long as Indy loses ) if not then we will wait until they drop one ( dont sweat it, it will happen ) I hate them as bad as anybody but I would rather play anybody in else in the playoffs than them. Not that I am scared but I will give them some credit. When they are on the same page they are a very good team.
Caught me off guard
Thought that you guys might find this interesting. I know over the last two seasons everyone has kind of freaked out about Vince and his TD passing numbers.
I was watching a video of the Miracle last night and at the beginning of the game it stated that McNair had thrown 12 Tds that year and 8 Ints. That is not far off of what VY has done. As a matter of fact, his rookie campaign he threw 12 TD's. Vince has higher INT #'s cause his decision making is not as good as Mac's was. Remember at this stage in Mac's Career he was a 5 year vet. (only throwing 12 Td's)
What I am getting at is this. Our offense is never going to put up 30 passing TD's. It is not how we are made. We are a run first team. However I do think that VY will take a LEAP forward this year and throw for about 19 TD's
Tell me what you think? How many passing TD's will VY have, and how do you feel with the comparrison to Mac?
Tennessee Titans Uniform Change
There is not a lot going on in the Sports world today, so I found this blog worthy. The Titans have apparently changed their Home Jerseys to the Light Blue's and the Navy Blues will now be the Alternates. The full article is on GoTitans.com.
I have no problem with this at all. The evidence to this is on the Titans pro shop web site. They now have the light blues listed as the home jerseys.
How do you feel about this? Good move or big mistake?
Travis Henry Cut!
Just read on NFL.com that Travis Henry has been cut from Denver and is now an unrestricted FA. Maybe it is just me, but I can not see the harm in going after him. I mean let's face it. We have Lendale who is coming off a minor knee injury, but with his bruising style chances are he will NOT be healthy all season.
You have Chris Henry that we are still unsure about. He could be ok, or he could be another Quinton Ganther.
Then you have CJ who has all the potential in the world, but "WHAT IF" he is a slow learner or even a bust?
Wouldnt it be nice to have Cheesehead back in two toned blue. He knows the offence, and has proven as long as he gets the rock he knows what to do with it.
I know he has issues, but if we can get him cheap he sounds like a great insurance policy to me.
Let me hear Titans Nation, what is your take?
Let's Hear Ya Titan's Fans!!
Ok, I can't handle the idleness anymore. I have got to do something to get a little activity on this site.
I want to hear your predictions. We have heard a lot of good news on our boy Vince, Lendale proves even more that he is a work horse and can carry the load. Kearse says he is an every down DE and Fowler says he is still the man even hurt.
I want to know what your starting lineup looks like for opening day, and as a bonus lets hear some predictions on VY, Lendale, and the WR's
I will start us off.
Make some noise Titans Fans, this site is what gets me through the LONG off season.
Opening Day
LT-Roos
LG-Scott
C-Mawae
RG-Amano
RT-Stewart
TE-Crumpler
WR1-Gage
WR2-Roydell
FB-Hall
RB-White
QB-VY
Vince-has his breakout year! Dinger works wonders, and VY is a playmaker. With that being said
VY- 3,250 YDS 22 TD's 9 INT's 700yds rushing 4TD's 13 Wins
Gage- 800yds 6TD's
Roydell- 700yds 5Td's
Crumpler-500yds 4 TD's
Scaife-400yds 3 TD's
Hawkins- 400 yds 2 TD's
Davis-a few yds and a TD
Elay- Nothing much Ydg wise but still pulls down a TD
Alright there are my educated guesses lets see yours.
Not to beat a dead horse..........But
I still think that we might just be OK with our reciever situation. I know some of you are going to bash me for this comment, but Dinger is known for making something out of nothing. With that in mind Gage and Roydell had a good year last year and have the potential to be great under Dingers offense. With that being said I am going to give a few predictions and want to hear the same from all of you.
Roydell will develop into our strech the field guy. (7 TD's and our 1st 1000 yd reciever since D. Mason.
Gage will have the same great year he did last year with 4 or 5 TDs and 700 yds or so.
Crumpler returns to form and grabs 800 yds and a handfull of TD's with a PRO BOWL!!
McCareins proves to be a reach and struggles.
Paul Williams actually plays a game this year.
B. Jones (I honestly am affraid to say. He could be good, or he could be the same old same old)
Hawkins plays in the slot from day one, and shows the same form he did at the senior bowl this year. Kid is a gamer.
Alright let the bashing begin, and somehere in the mist of it all I am sure Jimmy will chime in with a logical comment, and BeansCarter will make sure to try and kill any logic that was presented.
We did it again!
Early this morning I read that the titans have signed another person from our farm club/feeder program ( the colts ) Jake Scott signed a 4 year deal with the Titans. This is a nice addition and sould make the loss of Jacob Bell a little easier to swallow! Especially if Bengi stays around.
I think that all we are lacking is a good Proven # 1 WR and I will call this off season a TREMENDOUS success! I am excited about this up comming year. Jimmy I know its early but what do you think about throwing some predictions out there?
Troupe!
I talked with Troupe last night and he has signed a 2 year deal with the Bucs! I am sad to see him go. I think that he will do well there. We may live to regret this day!
I can't recall Tampa Bay ever really using the TE much, so whatever he does for them will be a plus!
Even though he struggled catching passes last year, he is a good reciever. Not much of a blocker but a pretty good reciever!
HE'S BAAAAAAAAAACK!
Titansonline.com is reporting the the Titans and Jevon Kearse have agreed on a MULTI year contract. The details of the contract were not disclosed but the article also says he would be used as a "situational" pass rusher. He will be as good as Odom if he stays healthy. Welcome home Freak! Good to have you back!!!!
Todays Visitors!!
The Titans are having quite a few visitors in Nashville today. I will provide the list and lets here what you think about them.
Jevon Kearse
Josh Thomas-DE from the colts
Jake Scott- OL from the colts
Julius Jones-RB from the cowboys
Thursday Visit
Ellis Wyms- DT from Seahawks (a MR favorite)
Titans interested in Eugene Wilson.
CBSsportsline.com is reporting that the Titans are interested in Eugene Wilson from the Patriots. What bothers me about this is not that we like the guy, but why? We have Hope and Griffin bak there. Are we lookin to move Griff back to Corner, or is Hope not looking the same after the neck injury. This worries me. What do you take from this?
Kearse Released
NFL.com is reporting that the Eagles have released Jevon Kearse. In the event that the obvious happens with Odom, and we do not get him re-signed, what do you guys think about bringing the FREAK back to Nashville? Fan Favorite of course, but is he worth the time? We know what he did for this franchise in his early years, is there any magic left? I know that he loves Tennessee and would be open to a return, question is do we want him? Jimmy I especially want to hear your take on this one, as well as yours BBB.
Algee Crumpler!
Today the Falcons cut Algee Crumpler. I am sure that I am not the only Titans fan who sees him as an answer to our prayers. I don't think that we would shell out a ton of money for him cause we have Bo Scaife. But, Crumpler is twice the TE that Scaife is. He has made 4 strait pro bowls. He is athletic and is use to catching the ball as well as blocking. Tell me your thoughts. Anyone else in Titans Nation want to see this one happen?
You have to see this.
Not sure how credible this is but I saw it on another Titans site, and it sure looks and sounds like Pac! Around 1:51 in the video Pacman is asked where he will be in 2-3 years? His answer DALLAS! What is this guy thinking. I have defended him and I still want him on our team. However this really angers me! Jimmy I am not sure how to link this but here is the site.
http://www.rollingout.com/v2/index_v...tid=1152288003
What is your opinion on this. I know that MCM is mixed when it comes to him, but reguardless of the fact, this lets us know he doesnt want to be a Titan!
Update [2008-1-18 15:3:6 by Jimmy]: Click here to watch the video. He says that at the very end. I say we go ahead and let him go to Dallas.
Re-Sign or Cut loose
I will list the players and you give your opinion as to if they should be re-signed or cut loose.

Not sure if all of these are Free Agents, But this is what my Madden Game tells me. Either way would love your input.
Lookin for a little help!
I have been looking for a site where you can see who on the Titans will be a free agent at the end of the year I am currious who all we will be in negotiations with.
I know that Big Al is a free agent as well as both Scaife and Troupe. What about all the others.
Also if anyone has a site where you can see all players NFL wide who will be free agents next year I would love to have that as well.
Help!
Anyone been to a titans game this year and heard the warm up music? there is a song that I believe is by Ludacris but I am not sure. It talks about the NFL in the last part of the song? If anyone can help me with the name of this or where I can get the titans warm up music, please let me know. Thanks. Toby
3 Headed Monster
I have heard numerous reports about the Titans RB's, and how none of them are going to prosper in 2007! I on the other hand beg to differ.
Chris Brown knows what it is like to be a starting RB and has all the tools to do it and do it well. Running behind a pretty good line in 2004, He avereged 4.9 yds per carry and had 1,067 yds in just 11 games. I would have loved to seen 16 games out of him that year. Going on his averege he would have been a 1,500 yd back. The knock on Chris is that he has always been a little injury prone. This is true, but comming off a year where his body took little to no punishment, this brings me to this assumption. Chris Brown will begin the Season as our Starter and take the majority of the carries until he is slowed by and injury. His injury will lead into the Lendale White era of the Tennessee Titans.
Lendale White is a RB that just flat out excites me! I am about to use a word that has gotten so many sports writers in trouble. He has so much "potential". There is a reason that he holds USC's all time TD record. There is also a reason that in the BCS title game, against the Longhorns on 4th and short he was the RB in the game, not Reggie Bush. I know that when he gets his head on straight and gets more carries, He will see that he has a real chance to be a starter and a major factor in this league. Last year he saw Travis Henry put up #'s and knew that a rookie like him that missed a lot of camp had little to no chance of taking that starting job so he produced respectable #'s as a back up. This year, when he get the carries it will finally click that he is the guy. I think it will be sooner than later also. I see Lendale carrying the load by week 6. Lendale is a bruiser and like every good bruiser, he needs a speed back to compliment him. I see Chris Henry being that guy.
At 6'0" 228lbs Chris Henry is physically a beast! At the combine he was hands down the most impressive rookie there! Running a sub 4.4 40 and being labeled a "workout warrior" did nothing but raise his stock. This guy is fast and strong! He is really going to surprise people this year. He will get limited touches because he is young and inexperienced but I honestly think the Titans hit a homerun with this guy. His upside is tremendous. After getting his rookie year under his belt, I see him challanging Lendale for the starting job next year. Expect some explosive runs from this kid!
How can you not be excited about our runing game. I know that losing Travis Henry is a big blow to this team, but let's look at what we have here. 3 good backs that could all be the next big thing in the NFL. Our line is greatly improved from the past, and the threat of Vince is going to focus a lot of attention on the QB and not the RB. This will be the year that we find our next franchise RB.
Ben Troupe
Just thought that I would give you guys some positive Titans news with all the turmoil swarming around #32. A little over a month ago my church here in TN hosted a large outdoor concert. Our guest speaker was none other than our beloved TE Ben Troupe. This was the first time I had ever met Ben but had spoken with him over the phone to book him for this event. He is an amazing guy. He drove an hour and a half one way to speak at our event and would not even take a dollar. He is an awsome Christian guy and gave a lot of credit to his Mother. I don't know about you guys but for me I can't help but want to see him succeed. Aside from all of that he is a real down to earth guy. When he came down the night before he invited me and a few of my friends to come hang out with him in his hotel room. We talked about everything from his days at Florida to this being a contract year. He says that his heart is here in TN and he is going to resign with the Titans. I know that most athletes get a big head when they get a little money and fame, but this is no the case with Troupe. Let me know what you think about this and what you expect to see from Troupe this year.
