Lee vs. Hughes
So I'm wondering why the hell we got rid of Montero 1st of all. 2nd of all hes pitching vs. us tonight. What the hell??? Ugh we could have the 30+ yr old this off-season for whatever amount. How does the rotation shape out now? Do we trade Javier?
CC, Lee, Pettitte, Hughes, AJ?
JAVIER TO THE METS? For hopefully some decent prospects. I don't know this is sad! We should not have done this. SAD SAD SAD. Will he pitch vs Seattle this weekend?
The Off-Season is not over.
Even if LeBron decides not sign with the Knicks in 2 days the off-season will go on believe it or not. And if he signs back in Cleveland I swear he'll be the most hated man in the NBA outside of Cleveland for putting America through this absolute crap!
Anyway, there is a man named David Lee I would like to re-sign if LeBron don't come. Amar'e would compliment Lee perfectly. One would dunk one would rebound. Probably the best down low tandem in the NBA. How much do you think we can get Lee to sign for? Plus after waiting all of last off-season I don't want to wait for next years to sign Melo. I want some production NOW.
Who else is impatient? I been having thoughts of playoffs since 04 the last time the Knicks made it. I'm really excited for the Knicks season now. Yesterday was a great day for the Knicks. Amar'e will have MSG boppin with dunks and other amazing plays.
So anyone have a projected line up? A possible PG we sign? I don't want no back up PG. I think the Knicks can get a solid average point guard.
Here comes haters, jealousy, and nut huggers.
1. I am giggling like a school girl while typing right now. I am just very please with the way things are going so far. Amare has seen a Broadway show and a Yankee game in his two days here. Hes taking in the city well, and it looks like he have him wrapped up for 5 years 100 million.
2. LeBron will have a 2nd meeting? Possibly 3? If the Knicks get to meeting #3 can we say July 8th LBJ is a Knickerbocker? I think so. The money we'll show him will be impossible to resist unless he wants to help out Cleveland and do a S&T. :(
3. Here are the negatives. Being a New York fan my whole life I know what its like to be loved and hated. You either love us or hate us in New York. Same with LeBron. We could be possibly bringing in the most biggest icon in sports history since Jordan. He'll be hated by many, but there are always those annoying bunches who jump from team to team. These are called the nut huggers. Nut huggers are well people who attach themselves to one player and just talk that player up like he can turn water into wine. They jump all over the people who say bad things about this player. The other term is called a Bandwagoner.
Definition : In sports, someone who shamelessly cheers for a particular team not because he likes them or follows them faithfully, but only because that particular team is the "popular" choice or has been or is the top team in their specific sport recently. When that team which bandwagoners follow falls from grace, they gleefully jump on the next teams bandwagon and cheer for that team.

So yea its like liking the Yankees. You have those "fans" who mess up the fun sometimes. If the Knicks sign LeBron I expect a ton of those Laker, Celtics, Cavalier, and Bull "fans" to disappear.
Greene and LT to carry the load?
This isn't like last year when TJ kept chuggin early in the year to get 1,000 rushing yards the leader at one point in the year. Now its time for the sophmore and the veteran looking to add a super bowl championship on his hall of fame resume. With the Jets outstanding offensive line I expect to have a good year on the ground. Remember without a good ground game Mark Sanchez will most likely be pressured to throw the ball a lot. Which is not something we want at all. Braylon, Holmes, and Keller are great targets, but lets win through the ground.
Many believe LT ran out of gas. If thats the case we're in big trouble relying on Greene, but the Chargers didn't have the greatest o-line. So LT will get around 12 carries a game and do pretty well.
Thoughts on the Jets offense this up and coming season?
Possible deadline moves?
Yankees talk has been they might go after Cliff Lee. Please don't Cashman(happy birthday by the way) ! We have enough starting pitching that will secure the AL East or the hated but not terribly horrible to the Yankee fan the Wild Card. Javier and Burnett will clear things up soon. Key word there is enough starting pitching. I'm really afraid that our bullpen will cost us in the long run. Having the bridge to The Great Rivera was a key part to winning the World Series a year ago. Phil Hughes filled that role nicely, but moved onto greener pastures and is now in the rotation. Excelling by the way. Our number 5 starter is really our #3 behind Pettitte and CC. Anyway I'm rambling on now. The pen needs some work. A list of reasons why Cashman should bring in a solid relief pitcher who won't cost much in the money department.
1. Our pen has diarrhea.
Chan Ho Park is pretty bad. I wasn't thrilled to see him sign with us when we have guys like Mark Melacon(hes not on the active roster currently) and Dustin Moseley who can be brought up later in the season. Like today Moseley pitched very well unlike Park. Park has a 6.66 ERA. I don't like that one bit. Nor do I like Park's BB/9 and HR/9.
BB/9 - 2.45
HR/9 - 2.10
In 25 IP hes given up 7 home runs and 6 walks.
2. Joba Rules?
The days of Joba coming in to fist pump were great, and I think he can still get the job done. Just one problem...Joba has stunk it up in the 8th inning role. We some how have to get Joba to think its 2007 again. I have faith though. Hes been unlucky by looking at his ERA/FIP. 5.40/2.47. (If I figured this out correctly) So we can hope for some improvement. Just one more thing to add. Girardi let Mariano Rivera go two inning sometimes. Yesterday was a perfect example of how he should go two. A one run lead in the eighth inning.
3. The Rest
Marte, Robertson, and Gaudin. I have hope for David Robertson and possibly Gaudin, but Marte seems really streaky. There is no way the Yankees get rid of him though. Hes their only lefty in the pen. Oh and when is Aceves returning? I miss his long relieving dominance where we can be out of it one inning and he comes in and shuts down the door the next few. Plus he is just a great relief pitcher.
Meet the Candidates.
He is a right handed pitcher in the Pirates bullpen. The Pirates have been the sellers for the past decade giving up their most talented player to the Yankees, Red Sox, and other teams believing they can contend for a playoff push. Hey Pittsburgh do you want Marte back possibly? Meek has an ERA just under 1.00, leaves 81% of base runners stranded, and a WHIP under 1.00. He is under contract in 2010 for around 400K. Not even one million.
David Aardsma - Why? Well this is not my rumor. I think I heard Micheal Kay say this. Which I am not in favor of at all. Seattle's closer hasn't been that great err good at all.
Some other options.
Craig Breslow - Oakland A's
Jerry Blevins - Oakland A's
Matt Lindstrom - Houston Astros
Clay Hensley - Florida Marlins
Not sure if any of these guys are on the block, but I would be sure to offer up for any one of them to improve the bullpen.
