It's Draft and FA season! Time for me to start giving some thoughts on what may happen with our beloved Bills. I am looking at the draft this week. I aim to look at potential FA's this upcoming weekend. Between a full time job and school this has been a long start to the year so far, but with spring on the way I am aiming to make a bit more time if I can for FA and the draft.

I am looking at two ways the Bills can go in the draft. I think they can look towards the future, or choose to try and make a run of it this year. We'll take a look at the future looking one first.

This week we see whom we think are total dogs, needless to say, if you like certain teams, look away now. The Dolphins, Browns, Colts, and Rams are not teams we think can win. Thanks to CFT, we now have word that the 1st true football superconference is the real deal, and it wasn't the SEC, Big-12 or even Big East who did it. I have a gut feeling that the BE just lost their Auto bid if this thing comes together AND Boise St. decides to stay.

According to the article in the link above, they plan to make them conferences into basically divisions, have them play through the year, then have a series of playoff games leading up to their own conference championship. This idea is both crazy, and awesome, and might actually make their games even more fun to watch randomly late at night when your bored on a Saturday night and too drunk to bother changing the channels.

Needless to say, the BE looks to be doomed for eternity now to no longer be a football conference, and I have a feeling that we shall soon see the Huskies Mascot tying up the BU mascot and forcing their way into the ACC. It will be interesting to see what becomes of the BE's remaining schools, and whether any of the teams who will getting invites will even bother to take the time to read them. Of course, the BE and MAC could decide to pull their own mega merger and try to preserve their auto-bid that way. Lets just say that I feel better and better by the day about us making the move to the ACC to protect 'Cuses chances at an auto-bid if we get to that level of team again in a new conference.

I must admit, there was a bit of a shocker this week, we had someone nearly pick every game correctly, Krytime nailed 14 games correctly which is pretty dang impressive. The standings are as follows:

This week we have some interesting unanimous pick games, the choice of the Vikings to get the monkey off their back we seem to feel is a safe one here. The Giants should have no issues dispatching the Seahawks as I do not see them going soft on a bad team in the 2nd half like Atlanta did last week. The Patriots to win in a landslide by our panel seems to be factored on 2 things. 1- The Jets cannot stop a nutty passing attack like NE's. 2nd of all, we all HATE the Jets more than the Pats.

The battle for bragging rights continues here at Buffalo Rumblings. In a stunning week, we had someone pick 14 correct games, and guess who it was, that is right, yours truly (and Joe did get 13, but it isn't 14)! I was asked if this column would make a comeback, and like Jason or Freddy, it keeps coming back from the dead and ready to kill!

We welcome Silverstreak3k back to defend his Pick'em Championship that he won last year in the Superbowl against krytime with a gutsy pick of the Packers over the Steelers. MRW has bowed out of the competition for this season, so Joe P. will be taking his spot this year.
