Watkins gives JG some southern drawl

"We’ll have a tighter winder than what it’s been," coach Jason Garrett said.

Trade up? Down? or Stay Put? Yes, of course!

Was reading the comment section of today's fantastic news update at BTB when a commenter noted this tweet: Cowboys are targeting four players in the first round, willing to move up a few spots...

former EAGLE Hugh Douglas Charged with assault

Just noting that the headline just says "former NFL DE". If he had even played one snap in Dallas, the headline would read "Former Cowboys DE"

Good Story about a couple of Former Cowboys

Nice write up about Terrence Newman and Mike Zimmer. Always respected both of those guys.

The Contenders for the Award No One Wants

That award is titled "The Official Aaron Glenn Annual Surprise Training Camp Cut". Every year it happens. Someone who the BtB faithful have all penned into our 53 man roster predictions winds up...

And he gets paid to write this?

Gotta love some Calvin Watkins. (insert puking sound here) Okay, so I know that we've been doing our share of Calvin-bashing here at BtB, led by the esteemed Burrito Electrico, however, our...

There goes that dream

Cowboys release Brian Price and Aaron Corp. For Price, we know that he won't be our surprise DL success. For Corp, I guess it was nice while it lasted, all three days.

Lessons from Day 2 - The Long View

So, what can be gleaned from day two of the Cowboys draft? BtB's own rabblerousr should be pleased. All three day two picks showed the team taking the long view of talent acquisition. Let's...

Playing the Draft Roulette

"The Draft is a Crap Shoot" - Anonymous I was watching Shariff Floyd dropping down the draft board last night, hoping that this seemingly consensus top-5 pick would be available somehow at pick...

What was the most surprising thing you noticed in this weekend’s playoff games? Broaddus:...

What was the most surprising thing you noticed in this weekend’s playoff games? Broaddus: I was very surprised how poorly Pete Carroll managed his game against Atlanta on Sunday. I have to admit that I don’t sit down and study the Seahawks every week but how can you go on the road with your team down 13 and you don’t try and get sure points out of that drive? Even if you kick the field goal, you give your team a chance to feel positive about the situation but to get stuffed on 4th down and have the Falcons drive the ball down the field to build a 20 to 0 lead at half was a large mistake. I understand wanting to send a message to the Falcons but also not to have Lynch on the field on 3rd and 4th down trying to get a yard was poor use of his personnel as well. But his biggest mistake was the use of a time out to try and ice Bryant before his 49 yard field goal. The kick was long enough that Matt Bryant was going to have to drive it which would have put Red Bryant in play who is one of the best kick blockers in the league. By using a time out, he allowed Bryant to shake his nerves and get the ball home on the game winner after the time out. Really poor job of managing the game on his part.

Minor League Football?

Interesting take on a rebirth of the USFL, this time specifically as a minor league for the NFL. Well written article that makes the proposition sound intriguing and possible.
