My surprised pick for #17
All right people I'm back full time. I've been lurking beyond the scenes for a while commenting periodically on things that I just couldn't resist not too. (haha) I thought I can control this, but I guess you can say that I fell off the wagon and started doing crack again. Oh well!
For those of you that don't get that, well I said that this place is like feeding a crack addict cocaine. I just needed some time away from this place b/c it's so addicting and my emotions were running at all time high.
With that being said, I have been sorting through all the articles and mocks that have been posted, only to come up with my own conclusions. With the Eagles trading for Demarco Ryans a FA MLB from the Texans, I think they will use their 1st pick on another need such as a wide receiver. That will leave their projected pick of our home town stud MLB Luke Kuechly for the Bengals to grab him at 17. This kid is very smart and can play the Mike position from day one. This could actually be Marvin Lewis' next Ray Lewis. This would mean that Rey Maualuga could be taking a back seat or a trade bait scenario. I think Marvin has had his fill with Rey and of course things would have to fall just right for this to happen. I'm being bold with this one b/c Luke is the real deal. Experts say he will be a game changer for a defense that chooses him. This isn't my homerism either, b/c I didn't even know that he was from here until a couple of days ago.
With the 21st pick I think that the Bengals will take Stephon Gilmore. I know, I know, you say 2 defensive player in round 1? Yes in deed. You heard this first right here fellas. This kid is smart and has absolutely no baggage. He will be very sound in the back field for us.
For my final prediction in the 2nd round, I believe that the Bengals will take OG/OT Kelechi Osemele out of Iowa St. He is big and fast and could play the Tackle position as well. Fits in well with his size on this line, just like they like'm. This would be insurance too with Andre coming into his final year of his contract.
These picks will fill the needs of what the Bengals have and also will be the BPA at these picks without reaching. IMO, this would be a very solid first two rounds.
It's great to be back but I'm still looking to change my username. It's time for a change....

Thanks Cincy Jungle!
After years of following my beloved Bengals all trough the off seasons too, I have decided to take a little time off. I enjoy everyone here and their opinions, but I can't take this heart break anymore. I've poured my heart and soul into this team to only be let down once again. I can't take it anymore. Call me a quitter, but everyone thinks I'm absolutely insane. I bleed orange and black and can't show it anymore. I argue with everyone about this team and they make me look like an idiot.
So I choose to stay quite and let the team do the talking for now on. This includes me logging on to the CJ. I found that when I come to this site, I tend to get carried away on the team that I love. I tell every one that it's going to be different, but it isn't. I love conversing with everyone, but it pours into day to day activities. If I stay away, it might help me manage my reality and life. I hate to be wrong and an idiot. It's just a pet peeve of mine.
I predicted this team would go 8-8 this season only b/c of the schedule. They proved me wrong, but isn't a strong enough case to prove the rest of the Bengal nation that there is hope. I'm starting to doubt it too. They have worn on me. There hasn't been change here for quit some time and I think it's due. What will next year bring? Same ole' same ole'? Every year it's a let down and those around me has convinced me of it. We went 9-7 this year with a good chance of making a statement, but laid an egg, yet again.
If those of you can't see that there is a hump that can't be jumped over with the coaches we have(Marvin Lewis) then your crazy. Marvin has been the best thing that has happened to the franchise in 20 years but there comes a time where that time has taken it's course.
With that being my last words for a while;
Cincy Jungle,
You have been a lot of fun for the last 3-4 years for me, but until some change happens, I don't want to have a heart attack. This place is like feeding a crackhead cocaine and I need to take control of my life. I've let it get way out of control. I'll still be lurking beyond and rooting for the Bengals, but quitely...
Believe me when I say this is for health reasons.
thanks CJ and all,
hope to see everyone in the Super Bowl soon and to prove everyone wrong. Until then, you'll recognize me with a different username instead of WHYUS!!, b/c it'll call for a name change... (There I go again!)
I'm crying, but love ya all...
Photo Analysis
We have come across some corny pictures throughout the Cincy Jungles existence. Here's a picture that was put up on the front page of Cincy Jungle in a recent post. I thought that it would be very interesting to put words to it to describe what you think that the picture or the people in the picture are saying, thinking or doing. Please insert your statement, comment or question that best describes the picture. This oughta be fun. And kinda keep it clean fellas!
"Rec" this so it stays at the top.

In Regards To JungleJohns suggestion:
We all are mad as hell, right?
Well, we are looking for supporters. Any one who feels a need to do something about the losing that we have endured for so long, here's your chance. JungleJohn started a fanpost as most of you know already, on the idea to do something about it. If you have read the fanpost then you know what we intend to do. We need some fans to participate. So what say you.
If you don't know what I'm talking about then read JungleJohns fanpost. Just how upset are we? Really. We need a lot of support to start this movement, but we can do this.
Here are the addresses that we can use to personally start writing Mike Brown and Roger Goodell.
Mike Brown
One Paul Brown Stadium
Cincinnati, OH 45202
National Football League
Attn: Roger Goodell, Commissioner
280 Park Avenue
New York, NY 10017
Please let us know in this thread if you want to participate. The other post is getting a little long and I like to keep things in some what of an orderly fashion. I encourage all of you to participate, for the success of our beloved Bengals.
Note:
If you are thinking that it 's going to cost you money, don't. B/c it's not. Just a little time to write personal letters and organize some rallies or such. (Just your time and dedication to the cause, that's all) For those of you that want to donate, (like me) will do so in due time. It won't cost much if we all donate a little.
All Fans are welcome, just as though they stay civil with the letters and be respectful.
Here's a poll to see how many we have. Make what ever comments or questions below.
Thanks, from a concerned Bengals fan Why US!!

Sandbagging or Sabotage? Which one do you think?
I'm sitting here watching 1st and 10 on first Take on ESPN. I know, I know, that most people can't stand Skip Bayless. I can't, but a question came about when talking about the Dallas Cowboys and how they are doing after Wade Phillips was fired. The question was, Did Jason Garrett sandbag or sabotage his offense to take the head coaching job? So I wanted to bring the same question up about our offensive coordinator.
I wondered after a few years ago, when Marvin wanted to bring Hue Jackson here, how do you think Bob Bratworst felt?
Now it's the final year of Marvin's contract and things are going real sour for Marvin and the offense. I know the defense doesn't look good either, but it started with the offense and all the bad play calling with the lack of discipline. That has trickled down to special teams and defense now.
So, the same question could be asked. Did or is Bob Bratworst Sandbagging or Sabotaging the game-plan or play-calls to get Marvin fired? Assuming Marvin is getting fired at the end of the season. My thought is, this very well could be happening because of Marvin trying to get rid of Bratworst and I think he wants the head coaching job. Just think back for a moment at all the play-calls and also back when Marvin wanted Hue Jackson here and then tell me want you think.

How About The Tax Payers Owning The Bengals?
I've posted this several times about buying Mike Brown out in different threads. So I decided to create a fanpost to see if we could discuss this even further. Here's my scenario;
We are all upset with Mike Brown, right? I thought so. There were a few post and even a fanpost talking about boycotting the Bengals (well Mike Brown). So I say yes, in order to buy the majority shares from Mike Brown.
Now, I'm no business major or even a market investor, but I do know that when a business stocks are down and The majority owner is in a pinch, they tend to sell. Well, if we stop going to the games and stop putting money into the pocket of Mike Brown, then we might have a chance.
Mike Brown has investors that own other shares of this franchise too. So I say talk to the County officials to buy the Bengals shares from them. They then, (the county officials) can raise the sales tax 5 cents for several years to ensure that they would have the money to buy above the majority shares that it would take, to take the franchise out of the hands of Mike Brown. You will more or less force this with enough money, that he couldn't say no. Any business owner would have to accept a good deal. With having 20 more years on the lease and a boycott going on, Mike brown would have to sell and the tax payers would own them. Of course, then we would hire a team President and he then would hire a GM, this would ensure that the team stays here in the future and a competitive team would be on the field. As profitable as the franchises are, this would be a good investment for all. There would be No More Mike Brown too!
I know this is a dream, but dreams can come true with a little persistence. So lets all put our thinking caps on here in this thread and see what we can come up with.

Need a little help here.
I'm a Bengals fan trying to find out some info on the little trade that never took place last year. As ya'll know that the Bengals tried to get Martellus Bennett last year and rumor had it for a 2nd round pick. I distinctly remember a Jerry Jones interview of him saying it was also for a WR that would've been an immediate impact player. Was this true about the WR and if so, who do you guys think it was? I have my own suspicions on who it was..
Thanks, your replies are greatly appreciated.
