WVU finally has an SEC QB
Barry Brunetti officially the starter for Ole Miss. Congrats sir, hopefully we can whip you in a conference game soon!
2 MOUNTAINEERS HAVE ALREADY AGREED TO TERMS WITH NFL TEAMS
The first Mountaineer to land a free-agent deal is Noel Devine to the Falcons and Sidney Glover to the Bills. Congratulations!!!
UPDATED to reflect the conflicting reports on Devine.
OL Josh Jenkins Out For Year
After rehabbing his knee that was injured in the spring game and undergoing surgery on July 5, it has been determined that the offensive guard will sit out the 2011 season on a medical hardship red-shirt.
Branko Busick arrested...
armed robbery. i stand by the innocent until proven guilty idea, but jeesh! and now i need to make this 75 words long. i guess i'll just publish one of my favorite songs my father sang when i was a child:
Welllllll, she ripped and she tore
And she sh*t on the floor
And she wiped her @$$
On the knob of the door
i apparently still need more words. blah blah blah blah blah
First Down Celebration
hey guys...i really think i was onto something when i mentioned before that we should change our first down celebration. i personally don't feel comfortable doing spirit fingers or jazz hands when a national television audience could be watching. one of my future wives may be tuned in. i ask you to do 2 things in the mirror...
One-liners about the Debacle
as a huge fan of one-liners (and i'm pretty sure WVUIE97 is too), i think we should open it up for everyone to jump in and give their best zingers. anything goes...if this doesn't catch on, i'll look like a jackass and in that case, i will call chuck landon and make up a story about one of you...hey-ooooo!!! (not one of my official one liners)
in no one gives a crap news...
take a look at this from cbssports.com. it's the NFL draft prospects in 2013. Justin Blackmon is the #1 overall player, with 2 very intriguing guys coming in at 2 and 3. i can't see any other reason for them to be 2 and 3, but i do notice that there are several alabama guys bunched together. still, no alphabetical or otherwise reason for them to be this high, so maybe scouts like them...

The Mountaineers need these guys...
and we'd rule the roost.
ASH
bluegoldnews.com is reporting that Richard Ash has a soft verbal commitment to the Eer's. YEAH BABY!!!
i tried to post just the above material, but apparently it needs to be 75 words long, so now i'm just going to ramble until 75 words. not sure if it will be exactly 75 because i am not going to count, but whenever i think it's enough i'm just going to click post. anyway, so last night a stripper and i were fu
Nyarsuk better be damn good
does anyone think that Nyarsuk committing to WVU may have ruined our shot at getting Tobias Harris? BGN said that Harris took an unexpected pit stop at Tennessee on his way back from Ga Tech. that was the same day that Nyarsuk committed to us. something major must have happened for Harris to take the "unexpected stop"...you just don't travel to Tennessee and take in a game if you weren't planning on it earlier. may be a coincidence, but then again, we did only have 2 scholarships. sounds to me like harris may have been checking out his #2 selection after #1 didn't have room for him. thoughts?
First play of the game
I'm sure for the first play on defense, UConn will come out with only 10 guys on the field. Very traditional for a team that has a fallen player. i'm not sure if anyone here has access to our coaching staff, but i think it would be a very honorable gesture for us to take a knee on the first play, while they only have 10 guys out there. i remember the last time i saw a team out there with 10 guys (i think it was NFL, possibly when Sean Taylor died), the other team started with a play that went for 22 yards. completely classless. i think that we should honor his memory with a sacrifice of one play, since they are sacrificing one player.
