Isn't Dempster's injury the perfect opportunity for "The Shark"?

I'm really hoping that Kevin Hart is not the long term solution to filling in for Dempster's spot in the rotation, and the Cubs were trying to stretch Spellcheck out in Iowa, so wouldn't this be a pretty good time to see if Jeff is going to be anything other than a decent to mediocre middle reliever?

Spellcheck pitched three innings on the fourth, why not have Hart pitch three or four innings tonight, then have Jeff pitch three or four innings, and then go on the understanding that he (Jeff) will get four days off, and take the next Dempster start?

Why continue to mis-use a kid the team has invested quite a bit of time and money in?

It’s been a long wait; the Omaha Royals are finally playing good baseball on a consistent basis again. Omaha won for the fourth time in their last five games, and their one loss, yesterday was an extra inning affair that could have gone either way.

Four straight losses and nine defeats in the last 10 games make this the roughest stretch in an already seemingly lost season.

Nothing has gone right for Omaha lately, and if there was any hope that getting a longer than normal breather, and getting away from Rosenblatt would improve the team’s chance, that seems to have been dashed for now.
