Hey guys, not sure if this is a cool thing to Fan Shot or not, but I'm sure there are a few gamers in here, and with Modern Warfare 2 coming out, it would be great to be able to clan up with your fellow Seahawk nuts, talk shop, and take out some aggression/disappointment against the unwashed masses of people who aren't Seahawk fans. Notes From a 12 Man: A Truly Biased History of the Seattle Seahawks

I just started reading this book last night, and can't put it down. Anyone who frequents this website will find this book incredibly entertaining. For those of you who are newcomers to Hawkville, and don't remember watching Curt Warner, John L. Williams, Kenny Easley, or the ferocious Tez, you'll get some much-needed history on our beloved team. Great read.

The Seattle Seahawks made a few roster moves on Tuesday, including signing former University of Washington running back Louis Rankin to their practice squad.

Running back Devin Moore and linebacker Thomas Williams were released from the practice squad, leaving the Seahawks with one open spot.

Very nice. He was great against us in the preseason, I definitely think he has more pro potential than Devin Moore, and probably more to offer at this point than Edge. Suit up, young man.

“The Seahawks will unveil their bright green — I guess ’80s retro-ish green uniforms — It’ll be a ‘Green Day’. I think they’ll have the time of their lives.”

So says Chris Berman on "2 Minute Drill." I'm not a fan of the green uniforms, and I am even less of a fan of we have to wear them while bombarded with injuries and facing a team that could quite possibly slap us around. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

We also signed Brandon Frye, a tackle formerly with Miami. Kevin Hobbs landed in Detroit and Marquis Floyd was signed by Cleveland.

The Lions must be desperate or stupid. Kevin Hobbs has been absolutely terrible this preseason

I guess Babs didn't put up that much of a challenge, as Brian Russell took his P12 aluminum oxide-style grit to Babineaux's thrown gauntlet in only a few days. In a way, this is unsurprising, knowing how Ruskell values "field generals," but you would think that there would be enough discontent with the safety positionfor the GM to take action. Let's just hope they don't leave Russell deep in cover-1.

Colin Cowherd's conversation with Seahawks receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh produced a few tidbits for consumption:

Houshmandzadeh says he knows the offense "inside-out" and is ready to go;
Houshmandzadeh says he hasn't spoken to Matt Hasselbeck since breaking offseason practices, but he expects that to change once he gets to know the quarterback;
Coach Jim Mora stays in touch through text messages and even invited Houshmandzadeh to climb Mount Rainier with him (Houshmandazeh said there's no way he would climb Rainier or any other mountain);
Houshmandzadeh thinks Michael Vick has paid a high enough price, and then some, and he would welcome Vick as a teammate;
Houshmandzadeh, an avid Madden video-game player in the past, is boycotting "Madden NFL 10" over what he considered low ratings for himself.
