What bowl games are you actually interested in

I just went through the list and marked my calendar for what games I want to watch:
Independence Bowl - OK St vs AL
Holiday Bowl - A&M vs Cal
Insight Bowl - Tech vs Minn
Alamo - Obvious
Cotton - Aub vs Neb
Cap One - Ark vs Wis
Rose - USC vs Mich
Fiesta - OU vs Bosie St
Sugar - LSU vs ND
Championship Game
You can see my reasoning, teams we played, interesting matchups (Cap one and Rose), wanting to see ND get exposed one more time and the championship.

What is every one else going to watch?

VY's Run Yesterday

For those of you who, like me, did not get to see this live, here is Vince's game winning run:

The fact that they are asking for more words is insulting to VY's performance.  What ever happened to McCovey cronicles?  Now that it says Burnt Orange Nation it makes it seem like it is PB's fault that I half to type this.

This man needs his own diary

Because he commented on a story from last month yesterday, I was worried that everyone would not get to see what makes sooner fans so great.
Everyone remembers this story, right?
http://www.burntorangenation.com/story/2006/11/29/161438/02

Well, apparently texasftball80 just got the memo, but it did not stop him from posting three comments and showing his true colors, I am guessing a sooner fan.
Here is his first post, at nine Thursday morning, a general comment on the story:
http://www.burntorangenation.com/comments/2006/11/29/161438/02/58#58
In this post he seems to be bitching about excuses, but notice the suttle hints of OU fandom.  The blatant homophobia, the hatred for all things Texas, and a complete disregard for the facts.  Of course Colt took his helmet off before the end of the play, that must be why the reffs ejected the guy.
Being the nice guy that he is thought, he gives us what we like and even ends his comments with a p.s. to enjoy the Alamo bowl.
Here is his second post coming almost 10 hours later from his first one, which is in response to Joey's comment complementing PB's fine work at the blog:
http://www.burntorangenation.com/comments/2006/11/29/161438/02/59#59
Ah, all caps title that must mean that Joey sucks with emphasis.  I also like the preface "seriously man", letting you know that he is not kidding about how much he thinks Joey sucks.  He then goes on with the astute observation that Joey obviously a longhorn fan (he is actually a fan of USC) because he has "nothing better to do other than get on here and analyze and give reasons why your team sucks dick."  Well, if you look at Joey's comments: http://www.burntorangenation.com/user/joey/comments, I have never seen his say that USC or UT sucks D, let alone give excuses for their sucking.
He then goes on to say "Thats all yall do is give excuses." This seems to be a reoccurring theme with texasftball80 along with fellatio.
His big finish is what I think most identifies him as a sooner fan, his sign off, "White power."  The homophobia was a clue, but racist white superiority, if this guy is not a Sooner, he should be.
Here is his final post, in response to PBs comments to the professor who was saying the article was student journalism:
http://www.burntorangenation.com/comments/2006/11/29/161438/02/60#60
A second blatant disregard for the facts (if freshman of the year is a "lame excuse for a quarterback" I am not sure what a good QB is) and then tries the "you would do the same thing" defense.  I think people use this excuse when displaying behavior that they know is reprehensible but are trying to justify it.  "It is not my fault, it is society".  Bonus points for using the double contraction "yall'd" for "you all would", I have never seen that before.
He continues by saying we are pussies and our football team blows, very nice, and such a convincing argument.
He finishes up classy, with the closing "Bevo sucks dick", which is kind of a let down after the ridiculous "White power" closer, but at least he is keeping his theme consistent thorough out his posts.

Post your pictures

Everybody's got a digital camera these days, take some pictures of where you watch the game and post them on the site.  Lets see the burnt orange nation.

For an example, here is AdamDC, myself, my wife, Maggie(who came up with the idea) and Jeff:

UT watching in DC

I will be at Roadside with AdamDC and many other UT fans for those of you in the DC area.  Stop by our table and say hello, if we can get a table.  I will be wearing the BON shirt, and my picture is in the history of this blog.

Who the hell is McCovey and why does he care that my post is less than 300 characters?

Is this legal?

Ok, I was reading this story, http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=2376091
and i came across this:

Allen said he was prepared to sign a national letter-of-intent with Houston. His benefactor, Ken Bennett, the founder of a group called Streets Ministries that reaches out to help kids from the toughest neighborhoods in South Memphis, put in a call to Calipari.
Next thing he knew, Allen had an invitation to join the team as a walk-on. The school could not pay his way or let him practice because he was an academic nonqualifier, so Streets Ministries paid his tuition. Bennett was in the stands in Dallas cheering on Andre.
"They do a lot for me," Allen said of Streets Ministries. "They helped me in high school, helped me in middle school. If it wasn't for Streets, I probably wouldn't be at Memphis."

What if I started my own "Streets Ministries" at UT and paid for scholarships for players that Texas wanted and guaranteed a walk on place for by the coach, but didn't have the scholarships to take.  Would that be ok?
