I still don't see where they think this is such a great move for them.  They will likely not break into the top 4 in any given year.  At least in the 10 team Big 12 they likely had a shot once every 5 or 10 years.  I'm interested in seeing how Texas handles this, does anything think the yearly Thanksgiving showdown is still on?

We all knew this was coming but surprised it happened this fast.  I'm sure this had a lot to do with the $800,000 he was due to get if he was still the coach tomorrow.  From what the article goes on to say there will be a lawsuit coming soon and this is going to get ugly. 

With all this going on I throw out a few thoughts/questions.

1)  Who does Texas Tech get to replace Leach.  Leach made them somewhat relevant but is this a good job?

2)  When/will Leach coach again?

3)  If you're a Tech recruit do you stay with the program?

This is going to be interesting.

With Magino gone for his conduct it appears that maybe our favorite pirate is about to walk the plank as well.  Hard to tell what he could have done to warrant an investigation but if anyone has any info please share.  This could amount to nothing but I thought I would throw it out for discussion.  Thoughts? 

Not that this is surprising and should not come as a shock to anyone.  I had some faint glimmer of hope he might stay but he has nothing left to prove, he has his degree, and with this being the last draft before the labor agreement changes in the NFL he has to go.  I hate to see him go but he will go down as one of the best OU has ever produced.  Not bad for an Oklahoma kid.
