Your most hated NBA player
ok so my most hated NBA player just made headlines last night and that got me wondering who do you guys absolutly hate? You don't have to have a reason to hate this player, but for some reason you may just hate him. Anyways just list em.
my most hated player: Andre Miller
Why: hes just flat out not a good player. I thought I was dreaming when i saw he dropped 52 the other night.
Trade talk
I was watching the NBA Coast to Coast on ESPN monday night and in the ask the analyst section of the programming a fan asked via twitter "what big man would work for the pistons?" In the response Jamal Mashburn mentioned Carlos Boozer from Utah for either a Richard Hamilton or Tayshaun Prince.
Personally I think that is a huge win-win for both teams. Trading Hamilton or Prince for the Pistons wouldn't be a huge blow and Utah could expect Paul Milsap to step in and give decent production to their starting squad.
The trade that makes the most sense would be a Boozer for Hamiltion trade. I personally think that the Pistons need Hamilton way more than Prince. And the Jazz already have a good small forward like player in Andrei Kirilenko.
Boozer is an athletic strong powerful post presence(which the Pistons have really lacked this decade) and an extremely hard worker.
Anyone else hear anything about possible trade rumors?
sick and tired
is anyone else sick and tired of the pistons getting away from something that is working in the first half when they have a lead. For some reason the pistons always seem to get away from what is working for them. For instance, In the beginning of the season the pistons were tearing up teams with their dribble penetration and now you see one person with the ball trying to make a shot for themselves with everyone else standing around.
Its just frustrating.
I have my personal notes from the Pistons V Hornets game. They are the following.
In the first half the pistons were very aggressive before the ball crosses the timeline creating 9 turnovers for the hornets in the first half. In the second half they get away from this.
In the first quarter at least Jonas has 2 lane cuts that got him 2 easy lay ups. It looked like the Hornets were guarding him more closely the rest of the game though, so no fault to Jonas.
Stuckey has many moments were you can see where he is taking his game from the book of Chauncey Billups being outnumbered on a break with the mid range pull up J.(he drained it of course)
as usual most teams and players underestimate Daye's Size and Length. where he can get many steals and blocks on defense. BTW that block before the half should not have been a goaltend.
Bynum is very aggressive but in this game aggressivly carless with the ball, 9 assists 4 turnovers.
Would love to see Okafor in a Pistons uniform, He is not at his prime yet and many do not see his potential yet. Would LOVE to see Joe D get him. He would be a a Ben Wallace that can work the low block and score.
comments please
DeJuan Summers
The more I see of Mr. Summers the more I am impressed. I am convinced that with more playing time people will start to realize how dangerous of an offensive player summers is from any position on the floor. Just like Jonas was when he started getting big minutes Summers has been a bit tentative in what his roll on the floor is, but the truth is he is a fairly difficult match up for most teams and can shoot the 3 just as good as anyone on the team.
I completely agree that Jonas is and will be the Pistons best rookie this season simply from the fact that he sucessfully guards the toughest match ups in the NBA(Kobe, Carmello, James, Wade,[when they play him]). But I think Summers is the better offensive player and would have people questioning who the best rookie is if he had more playing time.
thoughts?
