The Smoking Musket Truck and Jennings Benched/Noah Cottrill

I have heard from a player on the team that both Truck and Jennings walked out of a practice because Huggs was yelling at Bryant. I asked him why did Danny walk out and he said "Danny is so dumb he just does whatever Truck does". He also said that Noah Cottrill has head issues and won't ever play for Huggs if he doesn't sort himself out. I asked him if he meant crazy or just mentally weak and he said crazy. Not quite sure what to make of all this but we're going to need these guys if we want to be a good team this year. Hopefully Truck and Danny straighten up and Noah gets some help.

The Smoking Musket Dan Jennings is stronger than you

So on April 13th Dan Jennings posted this on his facebook page  "Damn I had weights and benched 385 pounds my weight coach said I could of done more", followed by this, "My nickname shud really be hulk after that".

Then today, Kevin Jones put this up on his page "shoutouts to my boy danny jennings benching 400 pounds today that kid is a beast!!!!".

That is a serious amount of weight to be throwing up on a bench press! His new nickname needs to officially be "The Hulk". I think this kid will be a real stud for us once he develops more skill on the offensive end of the court. He's obviously freakishly strong, we just need him to develop more offensively. We're gonna need him next year if we want another run at a final four.

The Smoking Musket Rumor: Ebanks/Bryant Fight

So this is just a rumor that I have heard, but I have no reason not to believe it. Apparently last night outside of the Vintage Room, Devin Ebanks and Darryl Bryant got into a fist fight with each other. The reason for the fight appears to be because they both wanted a free hat but there was only one. If true, this seems awfully idiotic. Also, Ebanks hand may be in a soft cast or some kind of wrap. I hope this isn't true, but like I said, I have no reason not to believe it. A suspension could be coming down if this is true. It's not good also because both of these players have been in trouble before so it would be hard to see Coach Huggins not taking some kind of action.

The Smoking Musket Not even the best DeJuan

The NBA Draft was last night and the Pitt Panthers were hoping to have two players drafted in the first round. Fortunately, neither Sam Young or DeJuan Blair were drafted that early. Teams were too concerned with Young's age, 36, and Blair's ACL count, 0. They were both drafted after a guy from Spain's football club Real Madrid who has more L's in his last name than all the lollipops Blair has consumed in his lifetime. To top it all off, Blair wasn't even the first DeJuan drafted (see DaJuan Summers). Maybe he should have stayed in school. Oh well. Good riddance.
