Buffalo Rumblings Help Needed - Jim Kelly - Please Read !!

Guys, I need some assistance here !  Many years ago I managed to make a large deal to pick up Jim Kelly's game worn shoes from his last ever game (The playoff Loss to Jacksonville).  After the game Jim gave these directly to the family I obtained these from.  The guy has always been a huge bona fide collector of everything Jim Kelly and these are 100% genuine.

As the years have passed and I've gotten older and fatter (like we all do) I've often wondered if Jim would ever like these back being something we sore on such a landmark occasion.  Athletes often gift things away in the "spur of the moment" and I can't help but thunk over the years perhaps he's wanted them back.  The problem being for me that I live in Australia, I have little to no way of being able to "ask him" or find out.  I tried his fan site years ago and had no reply.

I'm wondering if any of you guys who go to training camp might be able to assist.  Perhaps someone could ask a coach, a player or even Jim if he is there.

NB I'm not wanting ANYTHING for them - if Jim wants them back it would be a freebie (How could you ever charge your teenage Idol for anything no matter what they cost you !)

I know it's an odd request and I do appreciate any help anyone here can offer.  A few years ago I had planned a trip over to see 2 Bills games and a tour of the stadium with Marv Levy !  My intention was to take the shoes and offer them to Jim at that time.  Sadly, a family tragedy at the time made me cancel the trip and he shoes then went into storage when I moved interstate.  I found them again just yesterday when unpacking the last of my boxes and thought that perhaps someone on this brilliant site could assist me here !

No doubt Jim would have kept his Jersey and helmet from that day, I just wonder if he'd like his shoes back too :-)   Again, these are 100% genuine - he'd recognize them, they still have his number sewn in and of course there is the old "cinderella story" - ie they'll fit him like a glass slipper  :)

Buffalo Rumblings Draft day trades ?

I know some of you like talking re the draft and potential trades, and some of you despise it !

Boomer Esiason has come out stating that he is pretty certain the Bengals will pick Blaine Gabbert at #4 which I thought had some interesting ramifications for the Bills draft day plans.

Assuming that the Cardinals or another team has strong interest in Blaine Gabbert as it's QB of the future (and assuming he doesn't go to Carolina or Buffalo) then it would seem that the Bills are in a great position to entertain possible offers for our #3 spot.

Obviously it all depends on the offers, how far Nix would entertain moving down (which will again depend on the offer) etc, however it just adds a little more potential value to our #3 spot if indeed Boomer is on the mark.

What do you all think ? do you think there's much potential merrit to this and if so do you think it increases (even if slightly) the chances of seeing the Bills trade down for an extra pick or 2 ?

Buffalo Rumblings Shaun Hill

OK, first ever post here - but long time commenting !

It appears that the 49ers are willing to trade Shaun Hill - and I doubt he would cost much considering they have 3 other QB's they like more.

Shaun Hill is 10-6 as the 49ers’ starting quarterback and has thrown 23 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in those games.   I know this is not a huge body or work - but he seems more productive than what we have - and should come cheap in a trade - ie a 6th or 7th should do it.

Do you think a guy who has thrown 2 TD's per pick for a team who had very little at WR is attractive for a very late round pick ?

Personally I'd love to see this addition - but I'm open to being torn apart for my opinion :-)  Comments ?
