"Giants Manager Bruce Bochy loved Winn, and that might explain why the front office won’t look to bring him back in a reserve outfielder role. Even if they were to re-sign Winn to get 200 at-bats as a reserve, Bochy might be tempted to play him more often."

The Beach Ball - Larry Bowa Conspiracy Theory

Watching that whole Larry Bowa losing his s#*t thing last night got me thinking. Last night while Matt Cain was on the mound, the game was stopped twice. Once because a beach ball had been thrown out onto the field and the second because Larry Bowa found it ridiculous that he had to stay within the coaches box down third base. Everytime this happens on a Giants telecast, Mike Krukow goes off on how the pitcher just hates when this happens because it breaks up their rythym. Up until last night, I have always attributed the beach ball phenomon to fair weathered Dodger fans being stupid with their beach balls, but now possibly see this as a variance of home field advantage.

With regards to the game last night, right after the Larry Bowa incident, NBC showed Matt Cain's reaction to the whole thing and he was pissed. Sure enough, right after play was resumed Cain walked James Loney and that was the end of his evening. I could help at this point to wonder what a convienent time for Larry Bowa to have a Larry Bowa moment. No score, two on and two out in the sixth inning. LumberJack Taschner did come in and strike out Matt Kemp, but still.

Which brings me back to the beach balls. I have never actually kept track of this but wonder if those beach balls seem to magically pop out onto the field when the opposing team is in the field. Are Dodger fans that clever? If so, well played Dodger fans, well played.

Matthew Berry, supposed ESPN fantasy guru, put out his bold predictions, which always amuses me, because you know more than half of them will be wrong. Anyways right at the end was this little prediction:

• Rajai Davis steals 40 bases.

I think this just might be one that he gets wrong. I could be wrong though.

Looks like these came out this morning:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/rankings?lpos=spotlight&lid=tab2pos1

I think Hollinger might be going a little crazy. The fourth ranked Warrior on this list at #141 is Kosta Perovic

I don't ESPN Insider, so I don't what kind of comments he had about him.
