Brew Crew Ball Fantasy Baseball - Looking for 1 More!

Hey guys, I've lurked on this blog but have been on the blog network for awhile, usually over at Athletics Nation.  I'm a big A's fan (since I was 8 watching the Bash Brothers) and also a big Brewers fan.  Well as my post states I am looking for at least one more person to join my fantasy baseball league, our draft is Sunday the 5th.  I live in the Milwaukee area (StAllis) and the draft will be held at my parents in Muskego.  It is a pay league ($50 team fee), auction draft, rotisserie style, AL & NL 23 player roster run on Yahoo.  We currently have 9 guys, one just bailed.  This will be our 5th year, most guys are the same.  Its always been friends or friends of friends but we really want 10 teams, at least.

I know theres alot of smart folks on here who might be interested, hopefully anyway.  If you are please e-mail me at paulwbaumgart@yahoo.com.  We can accept up to three more for a total of 12 teams.  For more details if interested also e-mail me, I just hit on the main points.

Thanks!

Athletics Nation A's Player Shirts

Just looking for the best source to get a player t-shirt(name & number similar to jersies), since I'm out here in Wisconsin there aren't any A's team stores or merchandise around unfortunately, besides online.  Searching e-bay there are a few player shirts but its very limited.

I'd really like to get a green Swisher in the size large if they even make one but could be tempted with a Kotsay or Harden too.  Are there any good online sites that have these?  The A's site has customized player shirts but the backside numbers and letters appear white instead of gold plus it seems a bit pricier than it should be.

If anyone wants a Brewers one I can work out a trade ;).

Athletics Nation "Player To Be Named Later" documentary - Marco Scutaro

Has anyone ever seen the documentary following the Indianapolis Indians, the Milwaukee Brewers AAA club during the 2001 season?  Its a great find, since I am located in the Milwaukee area it was on tonight, caught it by just flipping around channels and it was on Milwaukee Public Television(rare to find anything of interest on there ; ).  It features/follows the paths of 5 players, Micah Franklin, Kyle Peterson(former 1st round pick), Brad Tyler, Mike Levrault(?) and of course Marco Scutaro.  Levrault is a pitcher who was with the Sacramento River Cats for 2002, according to the follow up on the documentary.

Great story with Scutaro and his wife.  He was the player named later in the Richie Sexson to Milwaukee trade and named MVP of the Indians in 2001, but not called up by the Brewers.  Players are mic-ed during games and it follows them around in regular life during the season.  Has Scutaro mic-ed during the MVP presentation award at the last home game and even has the manager at the time of the Indians calling him into the office to tell him hes wasn't called up...poor Marco tears up a bit which is understandable given hes the teams MVP.

Anyways, great find for a true baseball fan if you can find it somewhere.  I never heard of the documentary but its interesting, especially if you are an A's/Scutaro fan or Brewers fan(which I am both) :).

Athletics Nation Saarloos & Kennedy for Milton Bradley?

Just a thought, I'm sure others have thought of it too or something like it.  Possibly throwing in a mid-level prospect too, to the Dodgers.  But if indeed the A's are interested in Bradley(thought scares me but is interesting), the Dodgers probably would like to move him due to him being partly psycho and pitching is always in demand.  Granted Kirk and Joe aren't something you can build upon, two somewhat proven starters or at least long relief pitchers for a cancer should be tempting.  You know the A's are going to trade some of their pitching depth for offense, just a matter of who/when.

Athletics Nation looking for: 1993 A's road hat

IRC this was the only year style hat, the all green with the white A's, then in 94' they changed to the more attractive(IMO) gold A's on the green hat.

So does anyone have a near mint 93' road fitted one they would be willing to sell?  I'm trying to get every hat the Oakland A's had but this seems to be a very hard one to get.

Athletics Nation Favorite A's team of the Billy Beane Era?

And by team I mean for a single season, even though trades and moves shake things up during every year.  Which year has been your favorite and how does 2005 rank, so far?  I know theres still plenty of baseball to go but I think this team might be my favorite for how suprisingly fast they are growing(meaning the youngest guys).  If this is a re-tooling year, wow.  I know 01' and 02' were probably better talent wise, but by how much?  I'd say my favorite is 05' and 01' with 02' and 00' being close after.  03' was dissapointing and 04' while competitive, the withering last month or so was tough.

Athletics Nation Harden = All Star?

Apologies if this has been brought up before, but does anyone think Harden has a shot to make the All-Star team?  I'm sure he won't due to the time missed on the DL but with his stats its hard to argue and he does have a certain amount of name recognition already as an Ace.  If for some reason Chavez doesn't make it, they could chose Rich, I think.  Would be nice if both could make it ;).

Athletics Nation Anyone going to the A's vs. ChiSox in Chicago?

Just curious if any AN brethren are going to be at the A's games in Chicago this July.  I believe the July 9th weekend, might be doing the Saturday and Sunday games, at least the Sunday one....Sox are playing well, hopefully I don't get beaten down trying to enjoy the game wearing my road Chavez jersey!
