Nevada Baseball coach Gary Powers gets 900th win.
Congrats to Coach Powers for his 900th win over San Francisco and being with Pack for 30 years.
Would you guys mind playing Nevada next year?
You guys need a 3rd OOC game next year and Nevada is in a similar boat needing 1 more or 2 more if we decide for a 13 game season?

Nevada's President Milt Glick died Saturday night due to a massive stroke.
ESPN Andrea Adelson gone?
I haven't seen any posts from the ESPN Non-AQ blogger Andrea Adelson for the Non-AQs in the past 2 weeks, so does this mean ESPN got rid of another Non-AQ blogger? Lately the other bloggers been busy with spring training camps and pro days but nothing on the Non-AQs.
Nevada's 2011 Schedule released

Nevada blog Pistol Whipping the WAC shares their thoughts on the 2011 schedule and its a good read.
The main thing I dislike about this is that they have no warm up game before Oregon to see what the coaches need to work on.

New Las Vegas Stadium proposal emerges. Let the Bidding War begin
Just 4 days before the Nevada Board of Regents vote on Ed Roski's on campus stadium proposal, International Development Management LLC has announced a $1.57 Billion 3 Stadium Sports Center just north of the Las Vegas Strip.
A 18,500 Basketball/ Hockey Stadium, a 9,000 partially closed baseball stadium and a 50,000 partially closed football stadium. The baseball and Football stadium can be reconfigured to seat 36,000 and 75,000 to host MLB and NFL. They also propose to have all UNLV sports play in their venue.
Details for UNLV new stadium released
Its going to be a 42,000 seat dome which is only 7,000 more seats then Sam Boyd Stadium but this is going to have a lot of stores and restaurants to it.
The Thomas and Mack center is 2nd only to Madison Square Garden in terms of revenue and they hope this new dome will pass MSG in revenues. This dome can convert into a basketball, boxing, soccer, rodeo, and concert arena. They want this to be a tourist attraction and try to lure a NBA or NHL team to Las Vegas.

UNLV to get new Dome built on campus
After months of some strip casino's opposing the construction of the multi purpose sports arena, the city and Billionaire Ed Roski has announced to build the stadium on UNLV campus instead on the strip (which is right next to the strip). UNLV will hold a press conference next Tuesday to announce the deal.

RGJ's look at next years Nevada's line up
The RGJ does a pretty good job at looking whose left and grades them.
Nevada considers Kraft Bowl as an extra home game.
Within the first couple of days Nevada sold its 15,500 allotment of tickets. The Bowl Director said the other day that that 40,000 were sold and only 2,000 were left. Boston College sold 6,000 and returned 2,000 but some people on the Nevada forums said they bought their tickets through BC so its going to be interesting on how many actual BC fans are there.
Nevada's Womens Basketball defeats BYU 57-53
Nevada beats BYU 57-53 and now is 11-2 on the year.
Nevada's Corbin Louks moved to Wide Receiver for Bowl Game
For those who were curious on how Corbin Louks is doing (Utes fans). First game he was starting safety but he injured his knee and missed 3 weeks and lost the starting job to Marlon Johnson. Both safeties and back ups are returning next year so Ault decided to try him at receiver for bowl game and maybe next year.
For Kraft Bowl Nevada has sold nearly 15,000
As of Wednesday Nevada has sold over its allotment of 11,000 tickets and sold nearly 15,000.
Vegas opening lines for Bowl Games
Nevada a 9 point favorite over BC. Boise 15 point favorite over Utah. TCU vs Wisconsin is a pick so no point spread.
