Bleeding Green Nation DP MOCK DRAFT 2.0  prt1

I WILL LIST TOP 5 THEN ALL EAGLES PICKS

1.Detroit:Matthew Stafford:

If I were the Lions I would copy exactly what the Falcons did last year: take the QB and then the LT.   This discussion now may actually be between Stafford and LB Aaron Curry.  Curry may be the best overall prospect in the draft, but using the #1 pick on a LB is not likely.  Critics against Stafford, mention that no quarterback can succeed without an offensive line.  I totally agree with that statement, but also agree if you have a need at quarterback and you have a chance to draft a franchise quarterback, you must do it.  A solid offensive lineman can be added later in the draft, but there are not too many quarterbacks that are considered "franchise" worthy.

2.ST.Louis.:j.SMith

The decision will come down to Jason Smith, and Eugene Monroe.  Andre Smith's recent episodes have eliminated him from consideration.  With Steve Spagnolo, the new head coach, the Rams could go defensive and draft LB Aaron Curry, GO SPAGs just not with giants (Start Keeping ur eye out for crabtree about)

3.Chiefs:A.Curry

am still waiting official word if the Chiefs will switch to a 3-4.  However, Curry can play either defensive scheme, which makes him that much more of a possibility here.  The Chiefs could also go with DE/OLB Brian Orakpo who also could play in both a 3-4 and 4-3 defense.

4.Seahawks:E.Monroe

DT B.J. Raji is also a possibility after losing Rocky Bernard, but Seattle just gave a big contract to free agent Colin Cole (5 yrs, $21.4 million).

5.clevland:Brian Orakpo

The Browns have many options they could look at, but I think the decision will come down to three defenders:  Orakpo, Everette Brown, and Malcolm Jenkins.  With Orakpo, the Browns would get the perfect 3-4 OLB to complement Kamerion Wimbley, and definitely improve that pass rush

21.  Philadelphia Eagles - Chris Wells, RB, Ohio State /TE Brandon P
The Eagles struggled last season getting the conversion on 3rd/4th and short.  They need a bruising running back to team with and take the load off all everything Brian Westbrook instead.  The Eagles could also go after stud TE Brandon Pettigrew, but with Brent Celek's recent success, the Eagles are able to focus on other needs in the first round.  Wells is a top 15 player that only drops to 21 because of team needs.  After last season, so many teams were able to draft their young RB that very few teams are willing to invest a high pick with one this season.  Knowshon Moreno is a possibility, but I think the Eagles take Wells, who will complement Westbrook better.  The Eagles struggled on 3rd/4th and short, Wells is just what they need.

28. Ebon Britton or petteigrew if still aval

52,Jared Cook if they didnt get pettigrew do to trade or higer drafter

85.  Philadelphia - David Bruton, FS, Notre Dame
The Eagles had a nice signing of Sean Jones, but it is a one year deal and Jones has struggled to play because of injuries.  The Eagles get Bruton who will compete with Jones and Quintin Demps for the starting FS spot.

117.

Bleeding Green Nation Donald brown on wip

Donald Brown on WIP Did anyone catch Howard interview with Donald Brown on the drive home today? After hearing him speak i want this guy on our team. He is running a leadership program in Red Bank, NJ for high school students. In the day of me first atheletes and head cases like Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson its great to see a young player realize his place and understand the oppourtunity playing in the NFL affords him. I can't imagine Andy Reid interviewing this guy and not being impressed with how down to earth Brown is. My only concern is that Andy thinks he can get him in the second and we miss out on him. I would use our 28th on him if Wells and Moreno are gone. Brown is a talented RB and fits out scheme perfectly.

Bleeding Green Nation Pettigrew Visits Buffalo

Brandon Pettigrew recently visited the Buffalo Bills, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com.

Bills def need tight end due to the fact that all three of there te's combined for only 25 receptions, even though pettigrew is said to be visiting the eagles also ,we have the obvious issue of them drafting before us.the question is can we get any excitement in knowing that the bills may take a different player?if so who?Give me some hope.

Bleeding Green Nation Any possiblity of peters?

6′4″, 340 lbs., 27-year-old LT with 6 years of experience. We could make it happen .

but the tru question is there any ways  the bills could possibly afford to lose peters without killing there qb. I mean they did sign Hangartner c/g but i just dont think it would be something buffalowould be willing to do but i guess to entertain it what would   it take them/us ill give them king dunlap but no really what would it  take and than what

other transactions would it rule out?

Bleeding Green Nation What is the expense in appeasing 5

Ill start by saying im stuck in the middle in weither im sick of donavn;s complainging or wanting to pat him on the back for being the best qb in franchise history, but the reports of the reid/mcnabb meeting resulting in 5 sayin it depends hell wait and see what the eagles do(wanting big moves) well my question to everybody is what is it that would appease him. You would think from a qb mind hes thinking wr (a.boldin,m.harrison etc)

i would think what he wants would help him immediatly and not nesscarily have the future of the team in mind so the other question is,is what is the cost, what are we willing to give up.Its rare 4 a team to have 2 first round picks ,my feeling is donovan wouldnt want to see us use them wisely to create the future.i believe he would rather see us trade away both picks for an immediate differnce.ieBoldin & another star vet.

I want to hear what you guys think   would appease him. My thoughts would be take pettigrew w/first pick if aval. and give a 1st and something else for a boldin and with our first 2nd rounder pick up a solid olineman therefore he has weaver&pettigrew for added pass protectihe on not to mention the possiblity of a studd olineman.and he would have his offense opened up by Boldin and the use of a hands fullback and potential immdedite impact at te. he would have desean, curtis, boldin, avant(slot) and b.west. Im really intrested to know ur input
