My brother and I will be at our first Tech game together since the 2004 Holiday Bowl. We have not been to a game in Lubbock since 1992. I have been to several games with friends since then but not with my family. I know its a early kickoff and not much time to tailgate but does anyone have any festivities going on? We will be staying the the classy Days Inn. Wreck Em Tech!

Just curious if anyone else will be at the game this weekend? I will be there with quite a few friends bright and early. If anyone would like to join our tailgate you are more than welcome. We will be parking on the east side of the stadium next to the soccer/track stadium. We are starting at 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. Last year we had a great time and tailgated next to the Alex Torres Family. I was just wondering if any other Tech fans will be at the UNM game this weekend. I will be there with about 16 friends having a couple cold ones in the parking lot before kick off. Unfortunately I will not be there until 4:00 because of other obligations that day.  If there are any other DTNers planning on going to the game stop by for a drink or if you know of any other tailgates going on please let me know. Just in case anyone is interested today, Wednesday July 28th, ESPNU will be showing the 2010 Alamo Bowl vs Michigan State at 3:30 CT. Also, on Fox Southwest there is a 30 minute preview show about Texas Tech Football at 5:30 CT. Set your DVR’s to record if you haven’t already. Cant wait for season to start!

I enjoyed watching media day with Tuberville, Sheffield, and Potts. Any thoughts on what they had to say?

Looks like Texas Tech officially got a Cotton Bowl win in the record books (link below). Hopefully there is more to come with Tubberville leading the Red Raiders. Although I love Leach and am very disappointment to see him go  I am getting more and more excited to see what Tubberville can do with all the talent we have. He keeps the Air Raid offense and brings in a defense like he has had in the past I can see Tech winning more than just a share of the Big XII South.

I know this is a long shot but I was wondering if anyone had extra tickets or knows how to get ahold of some tickets for the Tech/UNM game in Albuquerque? I live about an hour south of Albuquerque and have not been able to find tickets anywhere.

This is going to be a huge test for the Red Raiders and would be a HUGE win for the tournament committee come March. The Pit is one of the hardest places to play in nation so it should be a really interesting game...Thoughts?

I have been looking at several different bowl projections and it seems everyone is predicting Tech to be in the Sun bowl vs Oregon St or USC or the Insight Bowl vs Minnesota. I have been to both bowls. I went to the Insight when Tech made the AMAZING comeback vs Minnesota a couple years back and I also went to the Sun Bowl when UCLA played Wisconsin. No matter what bowl Tech makes I will be there but I would have to say I would rather go back to the Insight Bowl just for the atmosphere.Then again it would be fun to see Tech get revenge on USC from the 95 Cotton Bowl.

I know its still a little early and things could change after this weekend but what bowl game would you rather see Tech in?

I really want to watch the game this weekend but I live in New Mexico and the only FSN station I get is FSN Arizona. Instead of the the TexasTech vs Kansas State game they will be showing Stanford vs Oregon St. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a website I could stream the game from and watch it on my computer?

Sure hope Tech can get back to .500 in conference this week.

I will be driving into Lubbock on Friday afternoon and was wondering if there is anything going on that evening? I know people tailgate on the west side of the stadium but I was wondering if there was anything special happening on gameday?

I am staying at the Days Inn off 4th and University next to the stadium. Does anyone know if we are allowed to tailgate in the hotel parking lot?
