quick question..
Don't bite my head off with this question but i just read Flowers24's post about the chiefs drafting a qb and something came to mind. If we resign Bowe AND Carr to long term deals and lock them up, would we have enough cap room to even sign a QB that high? Or does the draft have nothing to do with the Cap space that we have? Just a thought..would be awesome if someone could fill me in.
We need to make people believe again....
We have to play like when our D was considered "for real". We need to get our running game back on track. We need to be consistant. We have 6 games left...time to step it up. Go Chiefs!!
Ok, we're sitting at 5-3 right now...
We have Den on sunday while SD and OAK get the week off. If we win that will put us at 6-3 and 1 game up on the raiders and 2 on the Chargers. The following week we have Arizona and assuming we win that will put us at 7-3 while the Raiders play Pits (most likely lose) and fall to 5-5 while SD hosts Den on a MNF game and SD will probably sit at 5-5 also. Thats 2 games up on OAK and SD at week 12. Hopefully we can beat the Hawks in Seattle and put us at 8-3 and the Colts will beat SD while Miami heads to OAK to hopefully smash on them. 3 games up on the two teams that are hot on our tails right now at week 13 doesn't bother me too much... Maybe things pan out and we get on a hot 4 game W streak heading into SD :)
All the news....
Pretty crazy. I graduated bootcamp on Friday and i tried to get my ears in on the news about what happened with the Chiefs while i was gone but i didnt hear much. When i got home i checked the computer and i see that Jammal Charles holds the franchise record now for most yards in a game...congrats! He earned iT. Also, Weis is our new OC!!! That is awesome! Plus, we picked up Crennel as our DC! Things just couldnt get better. I looked up the stats and saw that LJ had 2.8 ypc against us (hahahahah same old LJ). I also saw we have the 5th overall pick in the draft...not good but not bad i guess...lets just hope the player makes an impact right away. How has everybody been lately? Hope you all had safe holidays. Is there any big news that i missed while i was gone? Its good to be back on AP but once my leave is up i head off to Kodiak, Alaska to be stationed on the Munro so ill be probably slipping off AP from then on....:(. I hope all is well with everybody.
A couple stats and thoughts about the Steelers game and the upcoming game against SD.
When people say "Anything could happen on any given sunday", It never really seems to apply to us. For 3 years now I, and i'm sure all of us, have been getting our hearts broken watching our Chiefs lose game after game and season after season. I always thought that until we got a new coach or GM, then nothing would change because it always seemed like we were just putting players in, no matter who they were, just so we would have a full roster. But now that we are heading in the right direction the football gods are noticing. Lol. Here are some stats on Sundays game.

Thanks Larry Johnson
This is not going to be a negative post, so if anybody is going to say something negative about Larry Johnson then don't bother posting because I'm pretty sure that we have seen it all.
IF you are cut from the team, which i suspect will happen, I want to thank you for the seasons you were with us. Yes, you did some immature things and yes, you should have acted better. But, in the end you were still a great Running Back for us for a couple seasons. You stood up and showed everybody that you could take the load when Priest got hurt and you showed everybody what you had (9+ straight 100 yard games, 1,700+ rushing yards back to back, multiple rushing TD's). Things didn't roll your way season after season ( Broken foot, Wildcat Offense, and now you probably have the worst Offensive Line in the league). Just wanting to say thank you for the good, the bad, and the ugly, because in the end you were still a Chief and I am still your fan. Good luck to wherever you go.

RIP Walt Daniels.
Sad story to hear. Walt Daniels was 66 years old and was a staff member of the San Diego Chargers. He fell 30 feet from the booth where the Assistant Coaches were at. He was rushed to the Hospital in Critical Condition. He passed away just a little bit ago. Even though he was a staff member for another team, it is still sad news to hear. I wish your family the best Walt, and RIP.

Can Anybody help me out with this?
It says that in Week 5 the red is the Dallas @ Kansas City game but, half the country is grey. Does this mean that it isn't going to show a game in those states or is it probably not finished? I tried looking on my tv guide for Sunday on Fox and it says "Paid Programming" which to me is unacceptable...So if somebody can fill me in that would be great. Thanks.
Zach Thomas files grievance against the Chiefs
I just saw on ESPN that Zach Thomas has filed an injury Grievance against the Kansas City Chiefs. He didn't play one game and he wants his money. Sorry if somebody else has posted news about this already, this is the first i've heard or saw about it. Zach Thomas wants his money and so does his agent. Kansas City better not let them get it because, frankly, they don't deserve it.
