Rubio in the ASG? Early voting results are in.
It's not going to happen, of course, but it's pretty fun to see that people have been playing attention to him and the Wolves. Here are the early results for the Guard position:
Kobe 690,613; CP3 540,173; Rubio 133,520; Steve Nash 118,922; Russell Westbrook 107,197
And for Forwards, looks like Love has some competition ahead of him:
Durant 633,538; Blake 394,264; Nowitzki 231,832; Pau 185,428; KLove 143,814; LaMarcus 118,268
Personally, the only way Rubio gets in is through injuries. Nash will probably get in, Lawson has a good chance as well. Rubio would be perfect for the All-Star game, but personally I would be surprised if the coaches vote him in.
MARCA (lol) says Rudy to R. Madrid, 2.3 mil. Euros per
Marca.com usually has a preview of the cover of next mornings paper, which is where I caught this from.
You can see the cover here:
What it says exactly is:
Rudy: The NBA player will lead Messina's "new" Madrid
-He will earn more than anybody in Spain: 2.3 Million Euros a year.
Personally at a first glance, it sounds like bogus. Rudy has a contract with the Blazers so its not like they can just "take him". Marca has also been saying for a few days that Sergio is close to signing with Real Madrid as well, with no quotes or any of the involved parties confirming anything.
Also, this is Marca we're talking about. As somebody who is from Spain and a Real Madrid fan I can tell you that its the closest thing we have to a sensationalist paper. Their soccer info and leaks are usually pretty reliable, its their forte after all, but as far as basketball is concerned, take everything with a dose of salt.
So yeah, I figured this would get posted later tomorrow or in 4 days when Hoopshype links it or something. Thought you guys would appreciate it ASAP instead.
What can I say, 30 minutes and Photoshop can lead to terrible things .... ;)
