No its not a post about the blazers running around naked, its about the blazers currently holding the NBAs longest winning streak, since the hated L*kers lost against the Nuggets.

By my laymans estimates, i feel we have an excellent chance of a 6-13 game winning streak, with the dangerous games being @Hawks, @Golden State, and vs Chicago.

What do u guys think?

Ps. My pre season estimate was 52-30 for the season

With the season in its last 20 games or so for most teams, i feel our 4 rookies have done extremely well so far, some great highs and a few lows.........

Gregs rebounding and monster dunks, rudys 3s and slam dunk parcipation, jerryds determination and unstoppable drives, nicholas' defense and block shots.........

All in all some great memories in the 2008-09 season!

Which of our rookies will make either the first or second all rookie team?

Blazers Edge Facebook Group suggestion.......

anyone interested in starting one? please post if this interests you, i know we have the numbers for a 100+ member group, also would help some members be more familiar with each other i guess =)

Im assuming a fair number of BlazersEdge members have facebook, considering how popular it is worldwide hehe.

Also please post any other suggestions, im not sure of the procedures in getting one set up.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but from these articles i suspect if either Germany or Poland wanted to, they could apply for Joel to play for them, how would u guys/gals feel about Joel playing for a country other than the US?

also i think the second article punked joel, although i cant read german :P

i was perusing the available gear on NBA.com and it had a list of all the team logos.

considering the blazers have had the pinwheel logo for many, many years, i would consider it to be the best logo in the NBA.

i say this because although i dont know the history of the logo, i know it was present from when the team first played in 1970, and it has stood the test of time while still looking modern to this day.

your thoughts?

Despite all the trade talk etc. i think we should be discussing more important stuff like.............

Why the Blazers will win the NW

* We have possibly the deepest team in the NBA (although the L*kers will argue that)

* We arent relying on 2 or 3 guys playing heavy minutes, apart from broy everyone plays about 30 mins or less, meaning if we have injuries it is easier to cover, and our main rotation guys dont get too tired at the backend of the season

* Our +/- is significantly better despite playing a huge number of road games against quality opposition, last year we ended with -3 points per game or something like that. At the moment we are +5, which normally you could translate into a 50 win season

* We have positive assist to TO, rebounding, blocks, steals, practically every major category except FT%.

This is posted at midnight, please feel free to add some points that i have missed, but i really think we can win the NW this season, team chemistry and balance is looking great so far

Unfortunately i do not live in Oregon (or the US for that matter) so i do not have the opportunity as some of you do, of catching a blazers game live in person.

I have seen pics of the place, just want a more personal idea of what games are like there, i know sellouts are the norm these days :)
