Octavio Dotel is an Albatross
I have decided what's been keeping this team down, lo, this last half of September and the end of the season. It's clear that Octavio Dotel is an albatross this season, and brings nothing but misfortune and despair to whatever uniform he wears.

Rockies attract fans who stay forever young
This is a cute article about our national pastime, and just happened to remind me of when I really became a Rockies fan. I remember watching afternoon games with my Grandmother, who was just beginning to suffer from the effects of Alzheimer's. She loved to watch baseball. It was something that was calming, and constant, and fun all at the same time. To this day, when I get a chance to watch an afternoon Rockies game, I still remember her.
The Importance of the Pitch Count
Not sure if this has been posted before. It's a fascinating article on the splits that pitch count induces. I'm sure he glosses over a lot of details, but it's a really deep subject for one of the stats guys. That is, unless it's already been covered before, and I'm late to the party.

Spring Training in Albuquerque
I used to live in Albuquerque, and went to a few Isotopes games while I was there. So, since I was on their mailing list, I got an email reminder tonight that tickets for the Spring Training games between the Rockies and the Mariners in ABQ go on sale this Saturday, at 10am MST.
I won't be able to make it (#@$%@#$ job!!!!), but those of you who are even considering it, go for it. Albuquerque's a pretty cool town, and Isotopes Park is a neat little ballpark. Also, since I can't make it, somebody has to go, right?
