Arrowhead Pride My Dream Draft

Rd 1 - David DeCastro - G - Stanford

I'm sure noone needs an introduction to him.

Rd 2 - Alameda Ta'amu - DT - Washington

Likewise with this gentleman.

Rd 3 - Doug Martin - RB - Boise State - 5'9 210

"Martin combines powerful north-south running with surprisingly agility, sometimes making it look like his upper and lower bodies aren't connected as he changes directions downfield. Though he lacks the elite speed of a Maurice Jones-Drew, Martin's low center of gravity and toughness will certainly make scouts imagine he could have similar success at the next level."

Arrowhead Pride Glen Dorsey visited my father in prison!

My father is from Alexandria, LA and has been in prison for the last 21 yrs. I guess you can say we're really close considering I'm only 22 and dont know him that well. We have wrote each other and sent pictures and cards regularly. So I get home Saturday and see a letter from him on my bed, open the letter and its a picture inside and who is in the picture with my dad? Our very own GLEN DORSEY! How cool is that? Apparently my dad used to hang out around the neighborhood GD is from where they used to call him King Kong, a nickname that he said he is officially passing along to GD now. But Glen was visiting prisoners and him and my dad started talking, when my dad mentioned he had a son in KC that was a Chiefs fan he said GD was humbled and gladly took a pic to send me. I've been smiling since I got it, and thought I'd share since character has been such a big topic surrounding our team this offseason.

NY Giants defensive end says he'd rather quit than be a backup next season
By Mike Garafolo/The Star-Ledger
February 03, 2010, 5:44PM

"I’m not going to be a back up player, I can promise you that," Umenyiora said. "I’ll stop playing football before I do that ever again. This has been just the worst off-season of my entire life. I can’t even think of a time when things were this bad during the off-season. You’re supposed to be relaxing, but I can’t relax because all I can think of is the things that took place last season. So for me, it’s not something that I’m going to do. And if I’m asked to come back there and do that then I’ll just stop playing football."

"If it doesn't get resolved, you can bet Umenyiora will go the Shockey route and push hard for a trade. To whom? Well, that remains to be seen, but I'll tell you right now to keep the Rams (with former Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo as their coach) at the top of that list."

Arrowhead Pride Chiefs Hire Former Eagles Executive

Pro Football Talk - Aaron Wilson

The Kansas City Chiefs have hired former Philadelphia Eagles senior vice president Mark Donovan as their executive vice president/chief operating officer, according to Bill Williamson of ESPN.com.

Donovan, who has a background in sales and television and radio production, will report to team president Denny Thum and will oversee business operations, per the team’s announcement.

Prior to his tenure in Philadelphia, Donovan worked for the league office as the NFL’s senior director of sales and marketing.

Chiefs team owner Clark Hunt released the following statement: “We are very excited to have Mark join our executive team. Mark’s track record of success in the business of the NFL has earned the respect and praise of the entire league.”
