"Kansas City, Mo., school board member Arthur Benson said he is holding a 1:15 p.m. news conference to announce that outgoing superintendent Dr. John Covington has accepted a position in Michigan.

In a message Benson said Covington was in Detroit on Friday and is going to accept a job there."

"Both Tyrek Coger & Ishmail Wainright plan on recruiting 2013 PG Kasey Hill of Montverde (FL) to Missouri."

"Now that he's here, I'm 100 percent sure that if I do come back I'm coming back to Missouri, and that's what I wanted," said English, who along with Bowers can return unless he retains an agent or doesn't withdraw his name before the May 8 deadline. "I want ... to be an (alumnus) from here. I want to come back here for years, and I'm happy that we got a guy that I can do that with."

Asked if he meant that he was considering transferring if Anderson hadn't left, English said, "Yeah, I was. It would have hurt me to do it, because I love it so much (here). But now that we have a guy that I support and a guy that I like and a guy that I feel is going to take us somewhere, I'm elated to know that I can be a Tiger the rest of my life."
