Looks lilke he will live, but suffered a broken leg and a collapsed lung. Prayers go out to him and his family.

For my money, Nate was primed to be the best Linebacker in the entire conference this year. He was a force when he was healthy this year. I hope he is able to come back and play up to his previous levels, as all indications are he is a good kid.
This really hurts NC State.

Tomahawk Nation FSU Recruiting Class of 2004

There have been 2 popular thems that are apparent and consistent:

1. FSU coaching over the past 7 years has been among the worst in the country.

2. Recruiting service Star Rankings can often be inaccurate and just plain awful

Upon examination, FSU's class of 2004 seems to be the perfect storm of evidence for both themes.

Tomahawk Nation What has happened to going deep to Carr?

Here are Greg Carr's statistics for his FSU career:

Year       Receptions    Yards      YPC     TD

2005              30              618       20.6        9

2006              25              487       19.5       10

2007              45              795       17.7        4

2008              16              212       13.3        2

It is easy to notice the trend downwards in YPC.  I understand that Jeff Bowden had a "jump ball" offense and Jimbo's scheme is more complex.

My concern is that Jimbo is trying almost too hard to be un-Jeff Bowden.  Carr is a HUGE red zone threat and also stretches the field to open up a thriving run game.  I would like to see us have Surrency and Carr both running go routes and have CP throw to the side without safety help.

Thoughts?
