Pounding The Rock No! Horry to play again ...

DEAR LORD, NO!

Report: Horry to return for 17th season

from: Yahoo Sports

HOUSTON (TICKER) —San Antonio Spurs forward Robert Horry said he will not retire and wants to play next season, according to a Houston television station on Friday.

The 37-year-old Horry played in just 45 games for the Spurs last season, averaging a career-low 2.5 points per game.

“I don’t want to retire, especially after a year like I had last year,” Horry told KRIV-TV. “I know I could have had a better year. My last game I want to walk off the court sweating. My last game so far, I walked off the court with a DNP (did not play) and I don’t want it to happen that way.”

Horry is famous for making big shots in the playoffs which has helped him a total of seven NBA championships. He won two with the Houston Rockets in 1994 and 1995, three with the Los Angeles Lakers from 2000-02 and two more with the Spurs in 2005 and 2007.

Horry is a free agent to be and would like to re-sign with the Spurs or return to play with the Rockets.

“My pecking order is I will contact San Antonio of course, then Houston,” Horry told the television station. “It’s not about breaking the bank. I just want the minimum. I’ve made enough money.”
