Maurece Rice
Rice has contacted the Bayhawks about rejoining the team according to a story in today's Erie Times News. Coach John Treloar stated the Rice would have to get his rights released by the Azovmash Mariupol team in the Ukraine
and that the process of doing so has started. Even though he was released by the team, they still own his rights.
Erie is looking to add a player before tonight's game versus Springfield. Even with Mike Gansey rejoining the lineup tonight, the roster stands at 9 players.
Erie's 1st cuts
The Bayhawks reduced their roster to 13 by releasing G Raheem Moss, PG Derrick Mercer, F,C Jeff Skemp
and G Ryan Troutman. Moss was a camp invite. He was the last player cut last preseason. Mercer was Erie's 4th round pick out of American University. Skemp was Erie's 6th round pick out of D-3 Wisconsin-Platteville. Troutman, who played 3 seasons at D-1 Akron, was Erie's 7th round pick out of NAIA Tusculum College.
