I've been hearing a lot of nonsense from fans I'm assuming have come over to the hawks due to the void of entertaining winter sports here in Chicago. I figured I'd share what I've heard with you all and depending on your temperament you'll either shoot milk/eggnog out of your nose or want to punch someone/santa/robert englud in the face.

I've been bored due to the hawks downtime since saturday so I decided to see what the pens fans were saying about the last game. I was surprised by how everyone felt about the hit on matt cooke.

"For teams that don't see too much of one another, unpleasantries were exchanged early and often; highlighted by Keith getting a shot on Matt Cooke that upset Cooke.  The hit was to the head, away from the play, and from behind; similiar to what just got Cooke suspended for two games.  If the league is truly serious about policing shots to the head, they need to review this tape."

I completely understand pens fans being upset over the hit but to say it was away from the play and from behind is a bit of a stretch. Cooke is a role player anyway. I didn't notice anyone over here crying when malkin was riding fraser while crosschecking him.

The pens just really piss me off and I can't quite figure out why. Is it the players? The fans? The east?

I bet you think you're really cool Mr Willie Mitchell. For the next few weeks you'll be riding high flashing back to how you blindsided our beloved captain board battle. You think you're tough or something but I've got news for you...

Yeah dude, that's sting and robocop. Pretty fucking scary if you ask me but that's nothing compared to what's going to be unleashed on your ass next time we meet. Right now you're probably thinking how much it sucks to get stinger splashed while getting stabbed with robocop's fist spike. Maybe you just peed a little. Rest assured, you're going to get yours and when you do it won't be pretty.

I may be late on this one but I just noticed Niemi has a videogame inspired helmet. Assassins creed on one side and GTA IV on the other. I think it's the nerdiest thing ever (in a good way....kind of) and much cooler than a damn dreamcatcher. I wonder how no one is getting sued over this.

I think Niemi should switch to the skull mask from youngblood. Remember how intimidating it was when the skullo dude was all doing the splits in front of youngblood? Sheeeit.
