I felt that a thread was necessary for anyone interested in discussing the most interesting game of the day.

Jenrry Mejia and Wilmer Flores have been named to the World roster for the 2009 Futures Game. Flores is the youngest player on either team and one of just six players at Low-A ball to make the rosters. The selection rules dictate that a maximum of two players per organization can be selected for the game.

Crushing on Jenrry is no longer limited just to Amazin' Avenue. Marc Hulet of Fangraphs shares our appreciation.

I ran across this today via Shysterball and found it to be a welcome distraction from the current group.

So says Bart Hubbuch. Nieve takes JJ Putz's place on the roster. Also, Pat Misch has been claimed from the Giants.
