I am not a fan of doing this mid-season, but looks like we are moving forward without Reed. Jay Glazer is reporting that we have signed K Shaun Suisham.

I know a lot of fans get frustrated at the simingly easy completions Gay and Mcfadden give up, but Mike Tanier explains why it happens and also just how great the defense plays together.

Edit by TimC: Looks like Fin is being released to sign "elsewhere" before the playoffs. Hopefully this means more Hairston.

It should also be mentioned that the Spurs are required to have at least 13 players on their roster, and they will have to sign someone within the next two weeks.

He is the the Bill's former ST coach and his units were alway near the top in the league. Steelers would be wise to make a move for him.

Behind the Steel Curtain Faneca a Jet

I wish him the best as he goes forward. He was a player I was proud to route for. He always played hard and was willing to put the team first, exemplified by his move to LT for part of a season. Though I understand the business reasons of the Steelers, I am sad to see him go.

4 years for 32 million. He got 23 million in guarantees.

Behind the Steel Curtain Hudson Houck...

It seems when ever I hear this guys name, its about how he is getting his teams OL to over achieve. Hudson Houck is the former O-Line coach of the Miami Dolphins. He also worked in SD. It has been suggested (with good reason) that we need to upgrade our O-Line coaching. If I had my druthers, the Steelers would get this guy, but it may be difficult. According to John Clayton (Insider I think):
http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=clayton_john

"Houck is in demand. Within a couple hours of his release from the Dolphins, seven teams called to express their interest. Houck is considered one of the best offensive line coaches in the league, which is one of the reasons he's paid like an offensive coordinator."

Behind the Steel Curtain Starks Done For Year

Looks like T.Essex will get the start against Jax. Starks has a meniscus injury that will require surgery according to the Post-Gazette:

Also in here is a note that C. Kriewaldt has been placed on IR.

Silver Lining: At least we will be able to see Essex in action in order to evaluate if he has a future in this league.
